Good point. I still don't understand why VAR Team OR the reviewing ref are even able to get things "wrong". Shouldn't clear game rules plus video review lead to one correct outcome every time? Or is it still super subjective and easy to corrupt? I don't know enough about it to take a position, but it does seem counterintuitive.
Actually the ref always has the final say. VAR can only either support the refs decision on field or ask him to review his decision if he says he missed something. That free kick is problematic as it can't interfere for a corner and nly if it decides it should be a pen. The problem then the ref can say whilst play goes on that he doesn't want to review it as its ball to hand. Considering he missed the corner it's easier for him to not go back than to stop play admitting he missed the whole incident or deliberately over looked it.

He is at VAR's mercy. VAR check things first. VAR are the ones that are not letting Oliver make a concrete decision.

However those decisions effectively hampered Man City....
For me it’s the charges that have been outlined, rumored to be around 115 at a minimum, and yet no urgency has been given to ensuring this is resolved. It disrespectful to the competition’s integrity and the teams that have to compete with City under such absurd circumstances.
They need to resolve this, it’s priority number to rid the league of anything that brings to question the integrity and fairness that teams deserve. Otherwise, suspend the league and wait for evidence until it’s ready and dealt with.
How do we justify the successes of City to be honest and fair like other teams that haven’t been accused of anything and have been coming up as 2nd position to City (Liverpool, United and Arsenal) to mention just a few?
