the alburniac wolfback archers are also a f*ck you
@@IronBahamut It actually is, but got to the sideways area to take down the ballistas first tho, and entered in the building using the upper entrance. Kinda minimized it for me. Oh but on journey 2 those knights + erdtree avatar were a force to be reckoned with.
@@IronBahamut bruh, did you forget the path with four or five revenants?
"even more annoying" what? :( i loved these guys, all their acrobatics and crazy laughter made them feel really unique, and their weapon drops are a lot of fun to use
yea i thought they were cute, angry little monkey boys - but they are definitely annoying to fight in groups sometimes :')

Love learning new things, be it cut content or new lore, even beyond platinum and multiple playthroughs.
Thanks, Zullie!
I know it probably would’ve been annoying as hell to have those bear traps in the valley, but I bet it would’ve also made the area much more unique and memorable. Too bad, seems like a missed opportunity.
crazy how much work is put into something that was cut
0:11 5’11 vs 6’00. I’m sorry it was just too easy.
They seem to be the kobolds of the elden ring universe
I don't hate them, I just found them funny.
Especially when you PLANT THEM THE F' DOWN WITH YOUR WEAPON.
I love the look of the Caelid ravine leading up to the Great Jar arena. It looks even more deserted than the surrounding lands and it has this secret, mysterious atmosphere to it, with the eye stones and all
Imagine a entire group of people hated because they were born short. Sounds like reality.
Love the use of the Kings Field 4 music, such a clunky but atmospheric game.
Fighting those two giants over and over while trying to complete the Great Jar Championship is enough of a pain. Not having to deal with sudden smoke bombs and violent melee attacks is just fine with me.
As long as you fight in close proximity to the Great Jar, neither archer can hit you. I always skip them.
@@danielwitt1793 I just kill them using a strike weapon. It's baiting the NPCS over the cliff without getting knocked off yourself that's the hard part!
But I've legitimately beaten 2/3 champions in normal combat. They just spam spells and rot EVERYWHERE. They make Battlemage Hughes combat style look reserved lol
@@RolloTonéBrownTown If you've not beaten them yet then just go offline, means they cant pull builds from the online servers so they should be considerably easier to beat
If you have beaten them then ignore that, and good job :D
@@kai_27-82 I was reading they pull the most cancerous character traits and these comprise the warriors your face. Makes sense cause them spam bleed and rot constantly. Except these guys have no stamina or fp to worry about! I was so angry when all I got was a better version of a talisman i already had. (Was playing as a light battlemage who didn't use much physical armour anyway!)
“Haha make one small! Wait… that’s pretty good let’s keep it”
Miyazaki saw how well Mortal Shell did bear traps and said "We'll let them have this one."
Helllll yeah, back at it again with the Kings Field IV ost 😩💕
Those enemies big would be a nightmare
I look forward to mods where all these traps are placed. I’m a console player, but i enjoy watching people play mods
Damn never noticed their faces look like that.
Videos like these is why I'm really hoping for a Steam Bloodborne release. The amount of secrets and details that could be uncovered would be amazing, particularly coz of the unexplainable nature of cosmic horror.
Check out Lance McDonald
the whole atmosphere of your channel and videos and your choice of music hits something bittersweet in me that i love to get lost in
That's definitely the magic touch of the king's field soundtrack
The Vulgar Militia symbolize the short kings that fight the real battles out there IRL. Notice how they all wear a massive crown that balances their height, and the lowkey drip beneath the battle scarred tatters that favor stealth rather than showing off. That's some real king shit no cap fr
Manlet cope
Total bruh moment tho
@@gsc8713 "cope"? I will let you know that I am in fact 5'6.25" which is NOT short. Actually, the worldwide average size of human females is 5'3" and a study conducted by the American government authorities in human height posited that on average men prefer to be 3 inches taller than their partner, which makes 5'6" pretty much an IDEAL size which, by the way, I am ABOVE, as I'm 5'6.25".
By the way, the use of the word "manlet" is defined as "a short, muscular man" (and I am not short) so I guess I must thank you for the compliment of being muscular although I am above 5'6" which isn't short.
You what's not short? The appreciation we have for your content 🙂
That thumbnail looks like he's about to go oi bruv it's chewsday innit
Always a pleasure Zullie I love the information
The Golden Order really does discriminate against all nonhumans; Giants, Trolls, Those who Live in Death, Omens, Demi-humans, Misbegotten, and manlets.
Sounds like the Imperium. Perhaps the order isn't so bad after all.
why do you all hate short men so much?
1:03 it seems me and the militia have something in common.
I've never said it before, and I'll say it again. "Love 'em or hate 'em, opinions don't matter to child soldiers."
You've never said it before but you'll say it again? :v
Randy Newman's "Short People" begins playing in the distance...
I love these little dudes! Where is the Vulgar Militia ending???
LET MANLETS... TAKE.... THE WORLD!
Ah yes, the Manlet faction. Wish they'd stop denying my application
I imagine Zullie the Witch as a 4th wall-breaking omnipotent character who knows everything about the world but rarely gets involved in its happenings, sorta like The Watcher. 🤣
Fromsoft removed the beartraps so I couldn't stick their stupid little heads in them.
I love/hate these enemies. They're super annoying esp with their traps but they were also great for farming runes early game when I'd need a bit extra after being transported to the beastial sanctum.
They're easy to sneak up on (they splinter off from their groups and move slow when not agroed) and back stab with relatively low HP for like 1200 runes a pop. I'd use gold fowl foot and just Solid Snake them for a bit.
I know you've heard this before but I can't tell you how much I appreciate your use of King's Field IV music. It's one of the most bewitching soundtracks I have ever heard, and having opportunities to listen to it while sharing your insightful tales breathes life into me.
the bear traps were likely cut to prevent more comparisons between elden ring and Mortal Shell. Everyone knows most FromSoftware games are just poorly made Mortal Shell clones.
Interesting AF, as always, Zullie. Thanks.
If it's not too much trouble would you mind seeing what happens if you kill Pidia before their quest is over. Since they are in a safe zone and can't be attacked otherwise. More specifically if it causes Seluvis to die as well.
Holy crap, imagine the runback to the Knights of the Great Jar if there were bear traps
Horrifying. Its already bad enough they didnt give us a stake
scorned for their size, alas, such is the fate of those who bear the manlet curse.
I like these little guys, they are a great source of early runes and their armor is nice too.
Dang that would have made the run back to the Knights of the Great Jar a nightmare
My favorite thing about them and the smaller demi-humans is the fact they can be knocked out of their jump attacks, sending them flying. It's oh-so satisfying XD
A smile only a mother could love
That thumbnail is fresh meme material.
that thumbnail reminds me of that chinese eggman dude
With as many times as I died trying to cliff-cheese the Great-Jars Champions, I'm glad that went ahead and did away with anything that went hand in hand with the giant archers on the run from the elevator
So this is what it feels like when a boss sees the player characters. Its like swatting a fly or a cockroach.
Yo zullie the songs you always pick for these are hecka rad and ur doing great
these short kings gave me so much exp in the early to mid game. 😅
I want a mod that gives these little guys a whole vocabulary of colorful metaphors.
Their armor has some of the best flavor text, it makes them sound like some Saturday morning cartoon.
Those little militiamen fit in so well in that cave leading to the Great Jar, like color-wise. They'd blend in perfectly. The face of them kinda looks like Patches too, so maybe it's a little reference that they would also use traps? I always assumed they were animated stone or metal because their defense is so damn high
Dark Souls 1 start with a flame inside a tree with a strange dark obscurity inside it
Elden Ring Three Fingers end with a flame inside a tree with a strange dark obscurity inside it.
I thought the helmet covered their whole faces, I didn't even realize these things had such a dorky grin. That's adorable.
General Grievous: "First time?"
I love your videos zullie always looking forward to an upload
Love these Gnomes
Thanks for giving us another great video Zullie.
I love how every game Miyazaki tries to add a baby and it gets cut or made invisible and finally this game he was like "Okay fine no babies just child soldiers" lmao. I can see why they were retextualized as diminutive. Also did they ever have a home location? Maybe I'm forgetting but I don't think we ever visited an area with small doors or houses that look like they fits them so where did they come from?
0:10 5'11 men and 5'11 women
Anyone noticed the place where you find the book of the golden order in the church, where you fight the golden spirit of Godrick, it has a very tiny dead priest sat on a chair suspended from the ceiling, so perhaps militiamen served a greater purpose than they do now
Vulgar militia: "So basically we are very smol"
