great assembly but now there are linear micro actuators no need to bother and it's powerful enough even for dump trucks

    Looking good!
Do you think it is possible to enlarge this trailer to 1:10? and then use two trailers to make 1 1:10.

axialjohan I think you could enlarge the body using more than one, the wheel size would be an issue and the drawbar/chassis proportion would need addressing, realistically you would end up making a whole new trailer would the effort be worth it obviously only you can decide that, but good luck if you give it a go

Did you do a weight test to see what weight it can lift
    Cheers

I havent yet but will be putting some sand in the back to test it

I did a load test using building sand and have posted a short clip of this, it seems to lift a reasonable amount certainly enough for my needs hope this helps

Nice work Neil, how are you getting your thread count (M4, M6, M8 etc) incorporated into your designed shaft tubes.. I would think there would be alot of colums or something in-between threads? Never looked into using N20 motors..If I remember correct I think Pete told me he found a sahred file on thread count etc..

Hey Ron i design into the print a tapping size hole one end of the tube usually about 15 mm of the tube the rest of the tube is printed a clearance size for the thread to travel unimpeded then the tapping size part i tap by hand using a standard taper tap of the required size on this one the thread is M4 so i print with a hole 3.3mm about 15mm into the tube the rest of the tube opens up to 4.5mm so the thread travels smoothly through the tube, hope that makes sense lol 😂

@@116scalercconstructiontruc9 total sence.. Thats what I figured as much.. I too when making holes for bolts etc too pass I use a gap tolerance for them too tap into plastic firmly.. its amazing how strong the PLA is.. good as aluimium if you ask me and a whole lot cheeper.. I have used screw drives many of times from 3d printers.. This is what I let Pete in on for his builds too get off the ground.. such as his excavator etc..from there the skys the limit.. build a shaft around the coupling thred and whala 8-)

Tbh Ron 3D printing and Pete's help when i got my first ever printer has proven invaluable for me, understanding the design aspect and being able to make your own parts is a game changer in this hobby really opens the doors.
