I really like this take on steampunk. It's so often just set in the Victorian era, generally in Europe or America, and all kind of samey-samey on a lot of fronts. Your idea feels fresh and unique. Much appreciated. This character is very sweet. He has such childlike honesty, curiosity, and joy😊. And the lover comment SENT me! The background noises were also incredibly calming for some reason. So many videos with tech noises have them very loud or have enough continual variety of sound/stops in sound that you can't really tune it out or have it become a psuedo white noise. This was a perfect balance. Brilliantly done as usual Sir.

I'm replying to my own comment so as to not clutter the comments, but I feel you deserve to know I've listened to this at least once a day since it was released and I JUST: - The "Stop being a chump and be a champ" and "CEASE YOUR PHILANTHROPY" lines crack me up every single time - The whimsical, hopeful music when the listener activates him hits so right, not only because it fits Friend's energy, but since it's implied that Listener is very Alone, the music sets a great tone for a positive shift in their life and **flails** - I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ok I swear I'm done now
Hi hello allow me to help! Steampunk started as a genre of literature. It includes fantasy and science fiction set during the Victorian and Edwardian Eras (the 1800s-about 1920). We use it to describe both new works of fiction and classic literature that fits the theme, like Frankenstein, and the works of Jules Verne and HG Wells. However, Steampunk has grown and is now a major subculture (an offshoot of Victorian Goth)! There are Steampunk bands, events, cons, and even full-timers living their best nouveau Victorian life! I'm in the subculture so I'm very excited about things xD

This is why infini-mate reassures the listener that he is not atomic. After the great regression, steam became the common means of transport, and clockwork became the common means of on land automation. Ibram and Marx leapt to the front of clockwork technology when they discovered a way to generate electricity with "quantum clockwork". Sadly, as time progressed, Ibram and Marx stopped building automatons to focused on power. Their automaton work force stopped repairing power stations and the cities are going dim... I genuinely had this develop over breakfast. I think I burned a synapse.
