I love a good veggie bagel. As soon as it gets warm, I may try that bean spread instead of cream cheese, and mix the grated carrot into the bean spread, and spread mashed avocado on the other half of the bagel. I sometimes roast garbanzos with spice mix and they are a tasty treat. TFS!
I do a similar garbanzo spread: 1.5 cups cooked chickpeas, mashed well, 2 Tbs of stoneground dijon, a Tbs of dill relish, a quarter of a red onion, a rib of celery and 2 medium/large radishes, all minced in the food processor, a Tbs of minced parsley, 2 springs of cilantro minced, and a tsp dried dill, all mixed with just enough mayo to get it to the consistency I like. Been making it like this for years, ever since "chickpea salad spread" first became a thing! This was originally my recipe for tuna/egg salad (a can of albacore with a grated boiled egg) that I changed over when I needed some meat free options for Lent. The soup sounds great; I'll have to try it soon.
Your bean series made me think of the videos I have seen where people make flatbread/wraps just from red lentils, water, and salt. I keep meaning to try them.
I need to can some Fast Garbanzo Beans! I am not a fan of hummus, but that bean spread looks tasty. And the looks interesting. Thanks for showing how pantry items can be used for making meals.
One of my favorite sandwiches. Love it! Perfect lettuce wraps... I add celery and red onions just like a tuna sandwich would be. Maybe a little pickle relish.
The garbanzo bean salad looks delicious. I love to add shredded carrots and radishes to the garbanzo bean spread instead of sliced on the sandwich. I also add shredded carrots and radishes to my tuna and egg salads.
I canned beans for the first time this week. I wasn't sure if they were worth the effort until I tasted them: perfect, soft spiced black beans. The best beans I've ever tasted. Now I'm hooked!!!
Oh yummy! I'll print it later 😉 just received 8 inches and gale winds...now no power 😮 though...i have my pressure canned beans ready for the sandwich 😉
I would have never thought to use chickpeas like this, very creative. I do use hummus as a base to pizza instead of tomato sauce, especially when I run out of tomato sauce. 😊😊
@@kimwiscaver8686 I make my version of hummus using oil, garlic, salt, tahini and blended with the chickpeas. blend to a consistency that will spread well on the pizza crust.
Don’t forget all the wonderful things you can make out of quick garbanzos turned into garbanzo flour! Sandwich and soup is on my list for this weekend! I’ve also made hummus from the quick beans. Yummy 😋!
Will garbanzo beans get weavils in them like other beans and rice? Anyone know - I sure could use an answer so to know how to store them. I have two bags of them.
Pam I have a question. I am soaking pintos to can tomorrow. I have noticed that at least half of the beans are shedding their skin and splitting in half??? I am a new canner and this will be my first run of canning. Should I can these beans? Is there something wrong with these? I noticed the skin is tough that is coming off them. What should I do?
Why in the description is the link for the amazon store and book sale site clickable links, but your website is not? I dont mind going and typing it all out or copying and pasting, but I'm just wondering why?
I used to make hummus with garbanzo beans. I did not like the thin skins that are on them. I then tried to remove them all but it was so time consuming and tedious that I quit making my own hummus. Is there a trick I don't know about? Or do the skins not bother anyone else?
I looked under your recipes for Marvelous Beans and I can’t find the recipes for this video on Garbanzo Beans. I may be looking in the wrong place. I am not to good at this.
Oh this is so enticing! I will forgo the bagel but I bet a carb-balanced flour tortilla will sub in nicely and hold all that yummy goodness! I have stored quite a few fast beans already. Fell in love with the concept from watching you. And they make great snacks right out of the jar!
Congratulations on hitting 300k subscribers Pam and Jim!
Thank you!!! It happened on April Fool's Day...Hmmmmm...wonder what that means. LOL

Perfect timing as I was just gifted 30+ one pound bags of dried garbanzo beans !!! Thank you.
Pita pockets work well for sandwiches with lots of veggies. Thank you for the recipes.
I bet that chickpea spread would be good on celery sticks for those of us not eating bread products.

Never heard of using hummus as a pizza sauce! What flavor of hummus did you use?

Congratulations to 300K! 🎉🥳
Thank you!!! We made it on April Fool's Day!!! LOL!

It was great! Thanks.
Goodness! Sounds delicious ❤️
We especially loved that soup recipe!

Thanks for your reminders!
Genius for using our canned garbanzo 🫘! I never know what to do with them, so they just sit in the cupboard. Love the sandwich idea! Thanks!!
You are so welcome!
Looked for download under marvelous beans section and only see past ones. Guess I looked too soon
Yep, I just looked as well and it's not there.
I finally got her website from looking online since the video didn't have it and no recipe yet. I hope I remember to look later.
Can’t find paper…this looks so good I never thought of mashing the beans for a sandwich…thank you I can’t wait to try this.
Pam, you made me hungry❤❤❤🤗🤗
I was thinking that the avocado could be smashed and spread on the inside of the top bagel. The soup and sandwich both look marvelous!
I have never had garbanzo beans any way but hummus. I am definitely going to try these!!
Thank You!!
We really liked the soup recipe especially.
@@RoseRedHomestead good to know! Thanks again!
Amazing just was thinking what to do with the garbanzo beans I get got from a friend😮😊
So glad it was useful.
We went to the grocery store in a little town close to us & I bought beans I've never heard of. Some mayocoba.
I will have to look those up because I have never heard of them either. LOL
We call them chick peas and you can buy or make your own hummus and falafel ( Australia )
Just found your channel ...love it new subscriber ...off to try that sandwich
Welcome!! Let us know how your sandwich goes. Jim
So yummy. I experimented with grinding beans today. Looked like fritters. Need to find a taste i like. Still needs work.
Yummm
❤❤❤❤❤
Nice
❤
That sandwich spread looks yummy. Could you replace the mayo with avacado mashed up? I think that would be good.
I think it would be delicious!!! Great idea.
Have rarely eaten garbanzo beans. Just wondering if they are easier to digest than other types beans. The sandwich and soup look so good.
Great video as usual. How long do the fast beans last once dehydrated and vacuum sealed. Sorry I've missed the answer already
There is a good recipe that uses cooked chickpeas to make donuts (baked).❤
you could maby put the avocado into the bean instead of mayo .... .. Thank you for great beans receipes
Help! Whenever I pressure can chickpeas they turn to mush! how do you get the nice canned beans?
Ms Pam, I just came back and looked again. Still not seeing the hand out on you site. 😊😊
Will garbanzo beans get weavils in them like other beans and rice? Anyone know - I sure could use an answer so to know how to store them. I have two bags of them.
You should put the links at the top of the screen as they will be overlaid on your cabinets and easier to read!
I wish I could, but RUclips does the placement and I can't move it.
ok can someone help guide me to the Marvelous Beans section at the website …? This looks so good ! 😋
thanks I found it !
Glad you found it.
I don't see the link to your website.
No garbanzo info sheet on website - yet!
The bagels look really tastey.
They were really good!!! Thanks.
Put your sliced vegetables next to the bean mixture on your sandwich, and they won't slide off. They will get stuck in the beans.
Pam I have a question. I am soaking pintos to can tomorrow. I have noticed that at least half of the beans are shedding their skin and splitting in half??? Great job
Recipe not on site

The Amazon store link IS to her website, just not to the home page. Once there just click on Home at the very top.
Thanks so much. Appreciate your input😊
I looked for the handout. It isn’t there yet.
It is there now. Thanks.

I never see or taste separate skins. Are you mashing them up well or using a food processor?
@@lourdesfrance5924 Yes I did but it just never turned out as smooth as the bought kind
How about ranch dressing for the sandwich. I’m not a fan of mayo. It all looks good to me.
