    It’s always reassuring when the instructions give you advice on how to prevent your new vacuum cleaner from bursting into flames.

    As always, your reviews are true to the T. I bought this after watching you review and for a small flat is perfect for the day to day cleaning, will be using the big dyson for a deeper cleaning and stick with this boy for the day to day situations.

    l like the vacuum cleaner good Suction and power

    My mother has this cleaner, from Asda, bought about two years ago. It is still on sale in Dunelm as their own brand, also sold under Zanussi brand, on the Comet website. My mother has always been a fanatic for cleaning, though at almost 80 years of age she can neither move furniture or vacuum cleaners like she used to, nor can she see as well. Anyway, if you were to base an opinion of the Goblin on its suction power and how well it feels like it cleans, you'd be forgiven thinking it was absolute tosh. But my goodness, seeing what it collects in the dust container is something else altogether.
    My mum uses hers at least once a day, and every two weeks I clean the whole house thoroughly with their Hoover Telios (which I still think is "new", despite being purchased in the year 2000) for all the hose-type jobs, and Dyson Small Ball for the middle of the carpets (the hose on that cleaner may well as not exist for all the use it is, hence the need for the Hoover). While I am cleaning, I use the Hoover to vacuum out the filter on the Goblin. As a device to lightly cleans carpets, this Goblin is truly amazing.

    Thank you for another great demo, Roger! I like the edge brushes on the floor head, and the LED headlights and foldable handle. But it would have been nice to have a way of storing the crevice tool onboard somewhere....would not have taken much design effort to add that feature.

    • @briant5378
      @briant5378 Год назад

      Would also have liked to be able to shut off the brush roll for bare floor cleaning. These budget stick vacs don't have enough suction to counteract the flinging action of the spinning brushroll...better to clean bare floors without the brush roll spinning.

      There is provision to hook the crevice tool on the back of the main body of the cleaner for storage, though I appreciate this is not going to be attached to the vacuum cleaner section when that is removed. I take the point also about the brushes being a potential problem with hard-floor cleaning, but as I have said in another post here, my mother (now late mother) has/had this cleaner, and it worked fine on flat hard-floors. My dad now uses it in her absence.

    Similar to some other machines of a few years ago, we had a vax cordless that had a similar configuration. I imagine this is friendlier to your pocket being an Asda Goblin machine.

    My first stick vac many many years ago was very similar but am sure it was mains powered, was a brilliant little machine. A member of the house back then asked why I bothered with it, answer, "to save my back and not have to drag out the big vac for small jobs"

    This looks exactly like an Electrolux Ergorapido. I had one of those in the past and it was terrible, the batteries lost charge fast and after 2 years of owning it, the runtime was less then a minute after a full charge. The filter would always clog up as well since there is no cyclonic system in place. So I doubt this is any better since it seems to be an exact replica of the Electrolux one.

    This is an unbranded unit many brands put their name on. Kmart use this unit as well. It loses performance very quickly due to improper filtration I.e no cyclones. I also had two floor heads break before I threw it down the garbage Shute and bought a v11. It wasn’t very good except for light hard floor cleaning.

    Hello Mr. Ibaisaic. I am quite new to your channel & I very much enjoy it. You use a word a lot, especially with your older videos. The work is "dubrey." I am not sure if I am spelling it correctly, but I was just wondering what this word means. Thank you & keep the great videos coming. -Zac

    Sorry to say but I’m not overly impressed with the machine, it’s definitely been built to a lower price than a Dyson or a Shark. Plastics look a bit cheap, and the aperture on the handheld unit is obscured by the surrounding body of the machine so you can’t see exactly where you’re cleaning… also that two in one crevice/dusting tool looks very cheap. All in all a bit ‘old-school Dustbuster.’ I do like the plastic filter shroud though, should help with keeping debris off the filter…

      There should not be anything obstructing the inside of the handle. Perhaps something circular has been sucked up and has wedged itself inside.
