- Ukraine claims it hit a Russian oil refinery in Ryazan, 190 km south of Moscow, in a new drone attack on Russia's energy infrastructure on May 1. Ukraine's special services said “ a UAV (drone) was used to hit the Ryazan oil refinery in Russia” and the operation was carried by Kyiv’s intelligence. Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu has ordered more, and swifter, delivery of weapons for Moscow's military operation in Ukraine. Poland has said it will not "protect" Ukrainian draft dodgers on its soil, a deputy foreign minister said on April 30. Russia is showcasing Western weapons its forces have captured in Ukraine in front of the Victory Museum at Poklonnaya Hill. Ukraine is expecting to receive the first batch of F-16s after Orthodox Easter on May 5, air force spokesperson Ilya Yevlash said.

The US, UK, Denmark, Finland and Spain have been training Ukrainian pilots for over a year on the F16, including several months of English classes to read the instruments better

They were just overmarketed and overhype. Their weapons were tested in optimum conditions. Who is going to launch one missile for the systems to attack? In real war, multiple directional attacks will take place. Electronic warfare and anti-radar will be implemented. The computers are confused when 100 drones are flying in every direction. The West only cares about their destructive outcome, not how precision or efficient. NATO has no chance whatsoever.
US military power is a myth. In real war they couldn't finish off Iraqi armed forces, thus isis was born. They lost a humiliating war in Vietnam and Afghanistan. Now they are going to get humiliated in Ukraine too. American history has been about war since her birth.

So, are there any air field sutable for F 16`s?
Theres a ton of revamped air fields in ukraine able to assist in landings and refueling but i think kyivs airbase is the only choice. Its got a huge anti air missile complex with 2 patriot systems and several dozen other systems. Too hard to hit but not impossible. The fields the best spot for f16s due to its ammunition likely being stored there to protect it from strikes.
the Ukrainians wouldn't be asking for the F-16 if their airfields weren't capable of being rebuilt to accommodate Western Commercial and Military Aircraft

@@darkcloud5830 you under estimate heavily defended airfields. The intel isnt real time and ukraine has been literally moving older jets it has around still. Once russia see's an objective like a jet from space they can launch anything at it. But its gonna likely be up in the air being warned. Also all that air defense is alive still for a reason. Too hard to hit itor near it. Reason both sides only really lose jets now from weapons deployed in the sky or nearby like russias lancet that hit one over the river.

What are 50 year old planes and minimally trained and flight hour logged pilots going to do against Russia??? This is not the magic weapon people are expecting. Ukraine has neither the pilots, the mechanic, avionics, engine shops, sheet metal, depot level repair, etc. You dont just toss them the keys and go. Russian piliots are going to out fly the inexperienced pilots. A 40 year old plane with new pilots will not fare well against long time Russian pilots with 5th gen or newer 4th planes, additionally Russia has on if not ghe best aur defense equipment. We want Ukraine to win, but avoiding realities on ground, troop and training shortage, pushing a positive narrative will not save Ukraine. Sad to watch Ukraine not pushed to negotiations......its madness pushed by Nato to hurt Russia and not damage Bidens campaign results. This will be revealed in 5-10 years, what a avoidable human travesty this was. How USA/UK deliberately stopped peace, lied to public about actual facts of progress and that Ukraine could actually muster a force large and equipped enough to accomplish victory.
