    Thanks for the tips Tyson. Do you know if that company has treatments for when you an under-ground well? Right now I buy most my water because my well water is often rusty, and I'm not even sure how pure it is. Used to be great, until housing projects when up a few miles from me, and although I'm rural, I think they have tapped into the same vein my well water is in. Drilling deeper is expensive, and buying water currently is way cheaper & short term even less expensive than a filtering device.... Regardless, happy holidays to you and your family, hope to see you & the gang next video if not before, certainly after the holidays. To all you and your loved ones, cheers !!!! Don't forget Suki and Marley, its a holiday for them too, LOL.....

      Hello Pete, aeration will help with the quality of well water, however to determine what is best for you and to see if we can help, we would need more information on your well, the depth of it for example. @@Northern_Farmer Thanks Tyson, I'll call my well guy soon and see what they have to say. It seems based on the comment below it would help. In my situation I can't have a water purify system anywhere but under ground. With my well being 75 feet, that should be deep enough for anything they want to install, as long as they don't have to pull out the pump (Leaving that sucker alone is a majorly good idea) and it will have to fit in a 6 inch pipe. Thank for your reply Tyson....

    I suppose the deeper, the better quality of the water?

  • @bobcrone6151
    @bobcrone6151 5 лет назад +1

    Well ur 5th tip spoiled all the fun. No walking on the ice...
    I was gonna ask you and Shaun to get 5 hockey pucks each - go back in one of the corners of the pond and take turns shooting the puck. First one to sink it on the aeration hole wins. 😝 Was gonna ship up some North Carolina pulled pork to the winner!🤣
    But oh well!!!!!!!!
    Maybe scrape up some snow along one of the edges and get 5 golf balls each and see who’s good with a pitching wedge?
    Do I have support from any of your other subs/commenters to make this challenge happen? If so, chime in🤣🤣🤣

      On a serious note, that water looks nice and fresh!
      Just the one aerator does the whole dugout, huh. Very cool.
      It’s hard to tell from video but I’m guessing that pond is about an acre, give or take? I could be way off... just guessing.
      We get algae bloom down here real bad lately. Back in August I believe, we had some bloom East of here toward the coast that was actually toxic and several dogs died after swimming or drinking in the ponds. I guess they were duck dogs just trying to cool off, or training to retrieve, etc... It was a big story here for a while.
      Y’all ever had a toxic algae bloom?
      I bet the manufacturer of ur system has heard of the story down here. If u think of it, ask them next time u talk to them?

    • @Northern_Farmer
      @Northern_Farmer  4 года назад

      A dugout is what it sounds like. The dirt is dug out and the water fills it up. We can have wells here but the water is so hard even with softeners. A lot of the dugouts here were made to build the highways...the hard clay dirt under the topsoil was great for that. I have beef cattle yes..and we have sheds and shelters..but it's not good to put our cows inside..they have a big hair coat and woukd get to hot inside..then go out in the cold sweating would not be good
