RCB VD BLACK SERIES REVIEW & TEARDOWN

i got this RCB RacingBoy for my Yamaha NmaxV2 aka mcSin
i thought of getting this versus other brands because of its form and function
i decided to take it apart to check if the suspension is really FULL ADJUSTABLE as they claim to have adjustments for spring preload, compression & rebound
to my delight after teardown and testings, i have verified and confirmed that it is really FULLY ADJUSTABLE

The one with the big thread is preload adjustment. This should be set according to the weight.
The compression dampener can be seen as a support for the spring, give in faster or slower makes the bike firmer or softer, follow small bumps easy or provide more stability.
The rebound adjustment is determining how fast the spring can bounce back into the neutral position. You do not want it to snap back, as this makes the ride bouncy. This also relevant for the ride comfort.
Good video but you skipped the interesting part about how to remove the spring.

i could've included that portion on how to remove the springs but i might need an extra set of hands since I'm doing most of my vids on my own using just my trusty cellphone.

So if I pick up my wife or a friend, at arrival I need to kneel down and adjust the shocks to the settings of their weight to be added. When I drop them of and go solo, I need to do the same process in reverse again. Kinda complicated to my opinion. I see plenty using these shocks. So obsessed with it, but they still have stock shock in the front. Guess its just trending to get the latest models.

well to each his own. but to be perfectly honest i rarely mess w the adjustment regardless if i have a backride or none unless i feel a bad thud then i'll have to readjust other than that i've no complaints.

where do you usually place the spring adjuster is it all the way up to make it soft?

yes to make it softer then the spring preload adjuster must go up, and when you want to stiffen the spring then tighten it down to compress the spring

plastic thing is not plastic but teflon.. Teflon is self lubricating material with very low friction properties😉🙏

Hi.. may i know the softer spring weight that it can hold.. because the stiffer spring make my but hurt so much.. i'm 170kg..

These have a 6.5 mm spring installed, the extra springs are 6 mm wire. Unless you are really light, for example 60 kg, that should be too soft.
Are you sure you are 170 kg? Then even the 6.5 mm would be a toy and bottom out on every little bump.
