I just saw her at one of our lovely SF venues, Keys Jazz Bistro. She was in a duo performance with her longtime pianist extraordinaire Mathis Picard. Mon dieu! They were amazing and lovely to hear and breifly meet. Anytime she comes to a town near you, just go. Otherwise, you're a dope.

There are many fabulous things about this bouncing rendition of a 1938 classic swing era song. Miss Cyrille Aimeé is Surreal and her exuding joy is infectious. (Another added treat is that this live video and audio mix is notably excellent and the experience for the viewer replicates a live audience experience quite well.) It is so very refreshing to see such a large audience enjoying these talented individuals as they present this music of yesteryear in an absolutely beautiful venue! The semi-prepared McCoy Tyner piano moment was way out of place and it did not reflect nor represent what the singer was doing, nor what the song or the style called for. I hope to hear more from this group of musicians as they seem to be on their way toward delivering something of great value to discerning audiences that are very hungry for such things.
