I think this is a bargain compared to the paintings that sell for $100m+
but there might be thousands of those under the ground waiting to be found
@@kippe1221 you gonna dig them up? Loll
@@kippe1221 The further we go into the future, the harder they are to find/dig up. They are probably so many miles under the ground.

Stan belongs in a museum
It is now!
@@JunaidAzizChannel glad to hear it:))

This became just like Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom.
Amazing T. Rex, more amazing selling price.
It should have went to a museum
It is now!
What's pissy is that might be the last time the public will bear witness to Stan. He is now lost to science and it's rather saddening
Stan is happy and thriving in the Rocks home office
Lost to science? No you mean lost to some miser
It's gonna be in a museum soon!
Abu Dhabi's Department of Culture and Tourism stated that they had acquired Stan and were planning on displaying the fossil at a new museum of natural history slated to open in 2025.
When the T Rex realized he was making less than $0.50 per year he wrote a long rambling post on Facebook only to be ignored by all of his friends except for Triceratops who replied with an inappropriate GIF about anime.
Where is Stan going, only watched because I thought you would say at the end.
We don't know. And he is most likely gone forever. Completely lost to science.
Apparently Dwayne the rock Johnson owns Stan now
@@punchbuggyredd7145 its a replica
Its in Abu Dhabi Natural History museum. It will be open for public in 2025
today was a good day bought a T-Rex skeleton for 27.5 mill
I could have spent the money on a new hospital or cancer research or environmental projects or...
@@iraceruk
The seller could do with the money they get.
I Racer or another bad ass T-Rex 🦖 🤘
@@iracerukthen spend it smh
I'll be pissed if some rich guy bought it
Well it wouldn't have been bought by some 'poor guy' would it!
@@iraceruk museum could've bought it
Museums have objects and mostly no budget to buy anything.
Would taxpayers be happy
@@michaelwalker7146 I know I would
Glad to see it went to a museum and not some rich billionaires Livingroom!
This is deplorable. We may never see Stan again because he has fallen into the hands of a private collector that probably does not know what the hell they are doing with it. We just lost a very important asset to science.
To all the people crying about the loss of fossils to science, the only reason that the fossil record is as extensive as it is, is because there is a capital incentive to go out and spend money digging up dinosaurs etc. Countries with laws against fossil hunting and sales have the smallest fossil records and usually lose the most fossils to destruction by mining etc. Do some research. Go to a few museums and ask who donated what, the star attractions are often donated or on loan by private collectors for study and exhibit. People who have no money wouldn't know what was done with it but comment anyway.
@@tombobtail7706 I have respect for people like yourself who understand the practical and holistic reasons behind these things in life
@@tombobtail7706 any source?
So? The museum can do anything they wish with their fossils, even selling them. I'm sure they have the info they need from that Rex
Make your own capital and buy it then. Loser
Who bought this TRX?
Where to put it ?
I hope they wont loose any of the bones.
The bones are "loose," so they might indeed "lose" them. ;-)
Great auction ...
Omg !!!! 27 millions d'euros 😱😱😱😱😳😳
Dollar man not euro
that`s my granpa!
I would have loved to hear this with Jussi Pylkkänen's voice!
I was all out of money today!
And now Stan, one of the most important finds in paleontology, has been lost to science where literally anything can happen to him. Fossils ground up for remedies in certain areas, maybe they are destroyed, or are just left to stand in some rich persons house because it’s such an interesting conversation starter.
Watching this was heart wrenching to say the least
when you get 27 million dollars. Maybe you can find a different way to spend it :)
How many years has it sat in government hands with nothing being done with it?
He's not lost.stop being over dramatic and falling for ad hominem attacks made up by so called "ethical" scientist that created this iusse by trying to steal a fossil.
Stan has been studied to death and there are a ton of replicas.also Stan still exsit and will probably end up back in the publics hands cuase most fossils that are sold do get donated back to museums.so they aren't lost forever unlike the fossils that get destoryed by mining and farming.
Not ground up like a lot of scientist claim who actually have a toxic elitist attitude towards fossils that has actually done a lot of damage to discovering new fossils.since they have actually cuased a lot of fossils to actually be lost by taking away fincail incestive to preserve fossils by creating policies that make fosscil hunting illegal.
Serouisly really think about what demanding fossils from private land owners and hunters actually says about the sceinfitic community and stop being blinded by oh it's lost.
@@starandfox601 There is no telling weather or weather or not Stan will return to science
My skeleton will be auctioned like this by future aliens. With bitcoins I guess.
Super!
Went to Louvre Abu Dhabi museum and tickets are USD $17 adult and $9 children which is less than most I am from South Dakota and everyone is just relieved it will be on public display not someone private gallery!
Imagine jurassic park bought the bones.
And now two brothers are fighting over the money! Why they just can’t split it is beyond me. While majority of people would love a fraction of that money they choose to damage their bond fighting over money! Crying shame!
멋찝니다~~~
thank you
Wondering if The Rock owning this T-Rex
So, the main set of questions that I have regarding Shen, the newest T-Rex up for auction are as follow: 1 - Who funded the archeology team that found it? 2 - Was this found in Private lands in the United States? 3 - Who has the stamped customs paperwork that shows that this dinosaur was allowed to leave the United States. Overall, i think that this sale should be investigated. I don't like this one bit. This should be part of the United States patrimony.
With that amount of money you could have funded dozens of collecting expeditions to acquire dozens of new dinosaur skeletons. Instead it all goes towards one skeleton that isn't even the largest or most complete T. rex ever found.
Yeah but I guess it goes like what are the odds of finding a better preserved T-Rex. There are very few T Rex fossils this complete
@@JuanGarcia-kx8ez considering the same poeple that found Stan also found sue.odds are pretty good they will find another Stan/sue.
Since they seem to be really good at finding the best rexes.probably cuase they have the money to actually find decent fossils.
Well that's their money and it's their choice how they want to spend it. Not yours
If I was rich, I would paid more for something like this then a painting.
Imagine spending 27.5 million on a corpse instead of donating any of the cost to charity for the living
Wow.
This is preposterous spending all that money on a dinosaur bones.
Private collector :)), maybe archeolog some unknown Evolution biolog or scientist bought, is crazy :))
:) ==) King of dinosaurus for collector of dinosaurus :))

what if Stan would be alive when this 🤔 Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom ended not well, I am just saying that🦖

Who came here after the rocks video
Masterpiece
So many people suggesting how the wealthy spend their money when it needs to be the opposite.
Philistines
Stan should belong to a museum not to the kitchen of some rich guy.
Its in a museum in Saadiyat Island!
Wonder if it was alive.. how much would it fetch 🤔
So that buyer was 'The Rock'. Amz
His was a fake
The Rock is who owns this btw
The Rock's T Rex
This is disgraceful and disgusting to watch such an important dinosaur specimen be sold to some rich pig who probably doesn’t know anything important about paleontology! What’s worse is that all that money could’ve gone to actual fossil excavations. This should be illegal!
