Yes, this illustrates the panel's readiness to pick up on potential laugh lines, even by drifting away from the basic challenge of the game. The show ended well, however, with the delightful, funny, charming Debbie Reynolds! That was a lot of fun!
Debbie Reynolds is gorgeous, adorable and charming all rolled up in one. This is one of the best MG appearances in the history of the show. Those who thought it went on too long or didn't like it have NO idea what entertainment is or what WIT is, Their sense f wit is only half developed. Or maybe not even half developed.
Debbie Reynolds appeared as a mystery guest several times and used more or less the same voice/shtick each time. The panel knew who it was after she spoke about 3 words. In recalling the series, Bennett Cerf admitted that they often strung out guests that they liked for entertainment value. Bennett also had lunch with everyone in the country at one time or another during his lifetime.
Debbie Reynolds is her usual uproarious self and a total class act. It says a lot about her that she appeared on the show in the middle of her divorce to Eddie Fisher, especially since she'd appeared with Fisher on this very show.
When the panel sang Happy Birthday to Bennett the owner of the copyright “earned” about $700. The dollar amount may have changed, but from 1935 till 2016 when the copyright claim was ruled invalid, singers of the Happy Birthday song had to pay royalties. How old were you in 2015 (not a typo)? Multiply by $700 and remit your payment.

The show ended well, however, with the delightful, funny, charming Debbie Reynolds! That was a lot of fun!
I didn't understand the 'liquid assets' part. What did he mean?
Debbie Reynolds is gorgeous, adorable and charming all rolled up in one. This is one of the best MG appearances in the history of the show. Those who thought it went on too long or didn't like it have NO idea what entertainment is or what WIT is, Their sense f wit is only half developed. Or maybe not even half developed.
I wouldn't call rambling on and on and ruining the pacing of the game wit at all...

I wouldn't call what you said anything remotely near intelligence.
"NEW!! the first electric shav- NEW!!"
Gotta love those old commercials!
and only a few years before, according to WML, the best shavers were made by Remington. Sic transit gloria mundi!
Back when showing appreciation for beautiful women was acceptable and there was a lot more class!
Very funny.....thanks for posting.
She used a French-like accent in I believe in 1954. Very funny also.
Debbie Reynolds is her usual uproarious self and a total class act. It says a lot about her that she appeared on the show in the middle of her divorce to Eddie Fisher, especially since she'd appeared with Fisher on this very show.
One of the things I notice between this appearance and the one in 1954 is the applause when she signs in!
Darling i assure you she is Hungarian. Noone else can talk like this. Debbie Reynolds igazi magyaros kiejtése meglepett. 5* Nagyon szép és aranyos.
Ms. Di Leo is still with us.
Mr. Biddlecom passed just 3 years after appearing on the show at aged 80.
How old is Venus Di Leo ?
God bless her Debbie reynolds rest in peace
Both of her appearances, this one and 1954, remain two of the funniest episodes even on WML!
'Spring is busting out all over.' LOL
When the panel sang Happy Birthday to Bennett the owner of the copyright “earned” about $700. The dollar amount may have changed, but from 1935 till 2016 when the copyright claim was ruled invalid, singers of the Happy Birthday song had to pay royalties. How old were you in 2015 (not a typo)? Multiply by $700 and remit your payment.
