    Here’s the thing. The point of the screen protector breaking easily is so it absorbs the shock of the hit so your screen doesn’t break. Go find the reviews on these unbeatable screen protectors. It’s a bunch of people complaining that their actual screen broke instead.

    100% the knife and axe where different. second torture test is plastic, an exact replica or maybe the angle of cutting is slightly tilted to avoid the sharp edge

    • @garfnob4832
      @garfnob4832 3 months ago +4

      @Clarketh yep, and that is what will protect the screen. this will flex and the screen will be the part that breaks.
      need to look into material science a little. it is called a sacrificial layer.

    • @garfnob4832
      @garfnob4832 3 months ago

      @Clarketh P.S. the plastic one did exactly what they where meant to do to protect the screen. he cut the plastic not the screen. now you put a new protractor on. you get the plastic or glass one deepening on your goal. just scratches the plastic, scratches and moderate shock the glass. this appears to be an improved plastic one. better as scratches protector, but little to no shock protection.

      @garfnob4832 3 months ago +1

      yep, it you hit it hard enough to break the tempered glass one, you hit it hard enough to break the phone. at best this is a hard as the glass ones with a little flex.

  • @Your_nightmarefromschool

    This is actually bad because you want your screen protector to break. Because of physics if you screen protector doesn’t break it just transfers all that energy back to the screen causing the actual phone screen to break

    OK I get the extra layer of film to protect your privacy but screen protectors have a breaking point for a reason like everything else. It absorbs the shock so your screen doesn’t break because the screen protector is supposed to break it so you can peel it off and put another one on while your screen underneath is perfectly fine doing this will break the screen but the screen protector will be fine. It’s just like steel toe boots, and cars and helmets. They crumble and break for a reason. It’s so the brunt of the impact is absorbed, but they still protect you. If power armor from fallout was a real thing, it could hypothetically work, but it would have to have a breaking point otherwise, if it didn’t, and stayed solid the armor could crush you. Everything has a breaking point for a reason and it’s to protect you.

    Yeah the whole point of a screen protector is to absorb the kinetic energy and prevent your screen from being damaged . I have seen screen protectors like this on my friends phones . The problem is every one of them has complained their phone screen broke . These screen protectors have no give therefore the energy transfer right to your phone screen and usually causes it to crack . Yeah they are good at protecting against scratches and that is it . Tempered glass is still one of the best screen protectors you can have because the tempered glass will take the hit instead of your phone as it is designed to do.

    Hey, it's like it's not meant to take high impact like that. It's like it's meant to stop it from falling and just getting scuffed up. That's all not to protect it from a damn knife or axe you know just a thought, if you had some common sense you wouldn't be using an ax to beat on it or a knife also, I like the fact that he pulled his hand back for a lot of it on the ax instead of letting his wrist flick out like he did the other one which is what caused it to break in the first place. He kept his hands straight and pushed into it so it'd make the sound but wouldn't actually do anything granted it could very much crack And causing damage but not nearly as much. Same thing with the knife too

    If you had a bend able protector like that, your protector will stand for at least 5 to 6 year but your phone will last for only 1 year😅 if you drop your phone your temper will break and replace it, breakable temper will not bent and save your phone screen😎

    yeah, thats because theres no compressive refraction (energy absorbed) when the material stays together, meaning all that force is transfered right into your phone.
    but hey, your screen protector wont shatter, just your phone.
