As a Missourians I'm exited to see MO State joining the FBS. I anticipate they'll rise up very quickly due to benefiting from essentially getting 2nd shot at any Missouri recruit thanks to Missouri's NIL laws.
Pretty good list here. Indiana at 5 over Ohio is the only egregious ranking I see here. OSU beat all 3 power teams there and Ball St went 1-3 vs. the Ohio schools with its only win being by 2 points over winless Kent St. That level of head to head dominance with a National Championship on top should've easily propelled Ohio over Indiana. Otherwise, solid rankings I think.
Mich at 29? Mich state used to be prety good for bowl games, michigan has the most wins, most big10 champs, most natties in the conf. I dont think the directional shools should way us down but jsut be neutral
@ Agreed. At least top 5 and certainly over the Indiana schools who were dominated by the Ohios ones. I don't know if I'd put them at #1 but 6 was a bit low.
Florida at 15 is nuts. miami was good but was only saved from 8-4 because of ward, florida finished strong which is respectable, fau and fiu were awful, ucf was a b12 bottom feeder, south florida was ok for g5 but slightly below average for overall fbs, and florida state is only saved from the spot of worst power 4 team by the damn soilermakers
Monmouth for New Jersey would of definitely bump them up a couple spots they should have been in there due to Rutgers being the only FBS program and Monmouth had a very solid season
Another small correction. Eastern Washington is an FCS team you forgot, they're in the Big Sky. Also, West Virginia did make a bowl game, they lost to Memphis.
Nebraska should be way higher, 7-6 and could’ve gone 9-3 if they had split their one score games 3-3 instead of 1-5. A couple plays short of beating ohio state and only lost to illinois because of missed penalties. plus no g5 or fcs schools to weigh it down. id put it top 20 easily.
Think you were low on Idaho, boise made the playoff, Idaho was good, think some states with middling FBS schools got ahead of them unnecessarily. Think a poor FCS team overly pulled them down while maybe a poor FCS team didnt weigh down other states to that extent.
"Bad schools will drag you down" then proceeds to put ohio at #6. Lol what? Of course sone of their teams had great seasons, but for fucks sake they have arguably the worst team in the fbs in Kent state, and several more not far ahead. Ohio is way over ranked.
Glad you know nothing about college football.... No way Tennesse is above a dozen of these other schools.... No way South Carolina and New York are where you put them.... Do some research before putting something like this together, great idea, but very poor spotting and thinking.....
@ it indeed is. But not all FCS HBCU schools were reflected. Mississippi has three HBCU FCS Schools (Jackson State, Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley State) that were oddly left out for some reason.
No it's not. FSU did terrible this year, FIU was 4-8 and played in C-USA, so it wasn't like they were playing good competition. FAU was 3-9, playing in the American. UCF was 4-8 and was 2nd to last in the Big 12. USF had a decent season but did terrible when they faced a real team like Alabama. Miami was hella overrated and had multiple close games to mid tier teams, and lost to a couple such as Georgia Tech and Syracuse, and had a very weak SOS, and Florida had a decent season, but they still aren't ranked, but they did have a tough SOS. If anything, Florida should be lower.
I would like to formally apologize for having Charlotte in South Carolina and forgetting Temple.
Thank you. I was just about to mention Charlotte
no worries as someone from north Carolina Charlotte is in south Carolina
Does that change NC or Sc ranking?
@@zacharycoble1815 it might drop NC a little but SC is in the same spot.
Literally just about to comment about this lol. South Carolina in the top 3 is awesome though.
The best team in Cali this year was probably UC Davis 💀💀

Stop it bro USC beats Davis by 100. If we had even slightly better QB play we would’ve been a CFP team

Ohio not being top 5 with the natty champ and a conference champ is criminal that has to neglect Kent State going winless
Yeah, I figured Ohio above Indiana due to the depth. That said, I did forget about the Bearcats, so idk.

I think it’s cause Kent State was literally the worst team in the FBS this year and Akron also having an abysmal season is what put them down

I think that's part of the reason why Nebraska is ranked that low. It's because they are consistently losing close games
You forgot Portland State who is an FCS school for Oregon and straight up would have tanked us into the upper 20s
Oregon has two FBS teams, so no need to consider the Vikings
