Yep. And soon will be for analogue radio FM MW And LW SW to I think.

No it won't - you have a deluded view of reality. FM will be with us for many many more years - new licences are being issued and the government has scrapped an official so-called 'switch-off' date. And local radio may get indefinite leave to remain.

      jamierose252 MW yes indeed though

@@jamierose252 They don't have a good reason to clear the FM MW LW & SW frequencies unlike analogue which was cleared to make way for more freeview channels, also many cars on the road don't have DAB tuners yet so I'd think the government will keep FM around for the foreseeable future.

Digital won’t last long. It will last 60/65 years like analogue.

Bacon Hair Plays, Analogue tv actually lasted longer than the figures you made, 76 years to be precisely, People have already seen the switch from Black and White VHF 405 line to Colour UHF 625 line to Nicam Stereo. Sadly digital won't even reach 60 to 65 years since we seen the advent of the tv streaming age with the event of the BBC IPLAYER ITV HUB and All4. UK TV Broadcasters are eventually planning to make the switch to 5G Mobile Signals as it cheaper to Broadcast on as transmitter are expensive to Maintain, Seeing this happening with Digital radio. TV Aerials are going to be thing of the past within 15 years, So Digital tv surivial will last until the year 2036, So from the event of the Digital age, which was 1998, I say around about 38 years.

They will still be on peoples' rooftops because no one will be arsed to take them down - like the plastic anti-COVID screens in shops will probably stay up for years after the pandemic. There are still some surviving WW2 bomb shelters for this exact reason.

Its funny I live in Reading I pick up London TV from Crystal Palace It didnt quite switch of right away it kind of faded before going black to static i think it was the distance .... On Southern TV as the transmitter was alot closer where i live it switched off instantly no fade just off straight into static

Damn at 5:33 they really did it. They went all the way. Also they needed to go off air THREE TIMES because someone thought ending with a PokerStars ad was too on the nose.

You should've put a VOLUME WARNING AT 5:33 (10 seconds later becomes WAY TOO NOISY!) for ABOUT 1 MINUTE.
    YOU'RE WELCOME.
