Mexican here and the snack selection was pretty good. Though the chips section did lack variety. I know there are chorizo flavored fritos chips and a good selection of other flavored chips like rancheritos and crujitos which are classics in my household. Also Mexican ruffles are so good imo. But yeah we do love our spicy snacks 🫡

I feel like they missed out on some other great snacks, like James only got the tamarind and chili with like candy, also the cachetadas (the one they thought had to be frozen) was ate wrong as it’s meant to take the form of a lollipop

As a Mexican I can say it takes a real connoisseur to tell the difference between spicy chips and some people just don’t got it

@ducksmango The hot chocolate is spicy even 😭 which a little spice to cut through sweet could ve good, but typically, it's not a good flavor of spice. Cuisine is good snacks, and desserts are not.
Only snack from I like are takis and those Rosa peanut butter things they had. I'm not sure why they didn't have real takis in the video, tho. Maybe they're illegal in the UK?

Hello another Mexican here , the first chips you tried do have a stale texture but that’s just how they are to be “healthy”.. and the Cachetadas (weird looking flat candy) is supposed to be peeled and made into a ball.. 😁 and yes everything here has a lime and chile flavor, even some ice creams lol

10:24 these are called “cachetadas” and they’re supposed to be this flat and floppy 😂 there’s a specific way you’re supposed to unwrap and fold them in other to eat them like lollipops
I think if you grow up with the tamarind or chamoy flavors youll love em, it is a quite acquired taste, but i love em. Hell the mango lollipops, i only like the outside, and then it gets sickly sweet on the inside without the coating. End up just tossing it lol

Límon sabritos/lays should have been S tier, they’re insanely good w a sandwich or just some lunch meat. It’s absolutely criminal that they’re not in every single store here in the US. They’re literally like the only lays flavor I’ve eaten for the past like 6+ years.
JAMES do trying mince pies!!!! there loads of different types from different shops. or do just Christmas snacks/food.
So for Carlos V you're not supposed to bite it and eat it. You're supposed to break off a piece of it and suck on it and let it melt in your mouth. For the "cache" or cachetada you're supposed to fold it multiple times to make it into the shape of square then take off the plastic and eat it as a square or whatever shape you end up making. Also the De La Rosa/Mazapan is actually supposed to be that crumbly, if you can open the mazapan without cracking or breaking it you are a true legend.
Mexican candy is all about patience and the reward but you also had a really shit variety of snacks. I recommend Bubu Lubu, Paleta Payaso, Duvalin, Coronado Paleton De Cajeta Quemada, Rockaleta, Limon 7 (This one I have to explain. Essentially its a sour lime & salt candy that your pour on your hand and lick it or into your mouth) Duritos/Duros is a pinwheel chip that you flash fry and eat it with Valentina sauce. Manzela Japanese style peanuts are also pretty good and you can get them with different coatings the "Japanese" style comes from the fact that a Japanese man that moved to Mexico made them there.
Chips are also not very good in my opinion, I would recommend the Cheetos Xtra fuego (yellow and bag) Cheetos bolitas, Papas Caseras, Sabritas Adobadas, and Crujitos queso y chile
There is one more "snack" that you can buy and its called tajin its very good and you're supposed to put it on fruit like watermelon, pineapple, oranges, and similar fruits

You should try Argentinian snacks, we got variety for both sweet and savory things. Really flavorful too.
Here in the Netherlands ready salted chips are in a red package and the paprika flavour come in a blue package. Life would be allot easier if these chips packages would have the same color in the whole world
