I just looked up The Zombies discography and found that they only had modest success in their homeland - a no.12 and a no. 42. They fared somewhat better in the USA, with two number 1s and a number 6. Yet their influence goes way beyond their chart success, or lack thereof. This may be because of their 1968 album "Odessey and Oracle" - pretty much ignored when released but now considered a masterpiece. A great track from this album (and well worth a reaction) is "This Year Will Be Our Year". It's sunny optimism has made it a great favourite of newlyweds everywhere and it has been covered by many groups eg The Foo Fighters. The mono mix is the best version by the way, as it has a very satisfying horn section (the album was recorded in stereo and mono) which is absent from the stereo version.
Shawn, I expect to be looking down from heaven(I hope)as you're an old man still reacting to these rock classics. It will take decades to thoroughly cover the songs of the 60's and 70's, and I hope you do.
"I Love You" was a great "B" side by The Zombies. It was a hit single by People who did it as a slow psychedelic version. Seen them many times and Colon as a solo. Del Shannon did a great version of "Tell Her No" as well. Rod had a stroke last week and the Zombies will tour no more.
Yesss! Thanks for mentioning I Love You, I Love the Zombie's original version of that song ,too bad most people never even knew it was actually THEIR song first or even their song at all. A great one, would love someone to finally play it.
There has never been a group with a more appropriate name. Their biggest hits, and most successful album, did not come out and hit the charts, until a year after this group broke up.
Another one of the great British bands from the 60's. Colin Blunstone has such a great voice. Their biggest hits were "She's Not There", "Tell Her No", "I Love You" & "Time Of The Season". Some other songs by the group are "Woman", "I Remember When I Loved Her", "The Way I Feel Inside", "I Can't Make Up My Mind", "I Don't Want To Know", "What More Can I Do" etc. Their 1968 album Odessey & Oracle is really great!
✨️Colin and Rod have done a number of interviews with reactors over the past 2 years. Some good stuff with tales. Please react to HOLD YOUR HEAD UP by ARGENT.
I have always loved the Zombies
These songs still give me chillz all these years later how!?
Another oldie but goodie. I love it when you play the oldies.
This is really the one I specifically remember from the Zombies. Fantastic tune for the time..love it..🎤👍
Colin Blunstone is a great lead singer. I can also recommend his song: Say you don't mind.

I had never heard of that album but bought the CD last year. It is a masterpiece. Not a bad track on it.
Rod Argent formed a band in the 70’s, and had a big hit with “ Hold your head up” group name was Argent.

The Everly Brothers song is called Cathy’s clown
I didn't realize that this was by the Zombies.
Sadly Rod, 79, just recently suffered a stroke and announced his retirement from touring.

Santana’s album moonflower in the 70s add his amazing guitar skills zombies she’s not there I must hear
You should do a twofer with the zombies she’s not there studio version and Santana she’s not there studio version once in the 60s once in the 70s
Not as impressive as some of their songs, but Colin sounds great and I love the Bridge on this one. I sing it to myself all the time. Haha !
