Thank you so much for making this video! You explained it so well and I now have my slides ready to go for this school year. So excited to go digital after 20 years of having a paper planner!
Thank you so much for this tutorial and idea. I have been thinking about using a digital planner but I didn't want to pay for one until I see if I like it and I also wanted one that I could see on my phone and laptop/tablet. This is so perfect and great!!! I am so glad I found your video and I am going into my student teaching year, so I can use this method as a teacher planner and make one for a personal planner!!!
Thank you for sharing your expertise. I really like the way you have made a planner and have already made weekly and monthly planners for the coming year. Cool beans!
Thank you for posting this. I have been looking everywhere for an affordable home-school calendar. DYI is really the only way. Please make the Sticker video you had talked about.
Your video was so easy to follow. I look forward to more how to’s as you stated in the video. I’d prefer to make my own so I could spend the monies for other school related items. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this video! This is just what I was looking for. I created my calendar as you walked me through it on your video. Now I'm ready to add stickers to them. Do you have a video showing how to make stickers for the calendar?
Hello, what video do you recommend I watch to learn to add link to tabs in theme builder? for other person so their text box doesn't move. Thank you so much for sharing.
Absolutely loved your video! It was so easy to follow! This is the exact information I have been looking for. I am very interested in how to find “stickers” and how to create other slides for the planner. I can’t wait for more videos!
Looking to make a digital planner for my daycare class. Definitely need something for birthdays and to see the best way to lay out my day. Maybe a morning meeting section, language section, gross motor, and fine motor? Any ideas would be amazing!
Hi Sara! I tend to layout my top portion by my daily schedule. So Morning meeting would be a great start and then go from there. I usually only put birthdays on the monthly spread. But you could have a section for any extra items (meetings, birthday, etc.). I tend to put this either in the last column or the very first column next to the date.
Hi Great video on how to use Google Slides for making a digital planner. My question is can you make a planner like you buy in the store that has lines on the entire page where you can put your appointments and it has a place for the time. I'm not wanting a calendar so much as one with the lines for scheduling. I seen one similar to this on a RUclips video using a ipad with One Notes app. It had lines and spaces for jotting down appointments with the date at the top and you can put information of what you need to do, highlight it and so on. I asked if I could use the One Note app on a Chromebook Laptop to make this type of digital planner but I didn't see one. Can you help me? I hope I've explained the type of planner I need to have if not let me know and I'll try to reword it. I have Google Slides, but I've never used it before. Thank so very much . God Bless and hope to hear from you soon. Jina Watts
Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible in Google Slides. The closest thing would be to click the grid at the bottom of where you see all the slides on the left side, if that makes sense.
Thank you. I have made a plan sheet, but I am stuck on something. When I type too much in a box and it expands the box to large it messes things up. I'm wondering if after you create the base (template) it can be locked in place. Especially important because we are using it for collaborative planning and I don't want someone else to mess up the template. I see things on TpT where they are like pdf's and I can type and edit. I just dont know how to make it that way. Thanks for any help you can offer.
How do you make your stickers and what images did you use for the monthly spread? all the pictures i input dont seem to format well with the calendar created. I am also putting a slide at the beginning that can link to the month I want to go to specifially so I don't have to scroll through the entire presentation to get to current month
Cari Fulbright depends on what your adding. You don’t have to add a text box for pictures. When it comes to words, depending on how I want it to look I mostly ALWAYS use tables. They’re a game changer I’d you like things lined up. 😊
Hi Barbra, good questions! Usually Google automatically saves your progress every few seconds into your google drive. You don’t have to worry about saving every time you leave the document. Hope that helps!
This was really easy and fun to create! I can't wait to use my self-made digital planner! Thank you so much for sharing this idea!
I found this tutorial to be the most helpful one I've watch since the beginning of this virtual learning year. Thank you!

Great
Really, really enjoyed this video!
Thank you! This was so helpful!
I would like to know how to create the extra pages! You made it so simple thank you.
I will definitely keep that in mind for my next video. I'm thinking some data pages and birthday pages! 😀
I love this, if I wanted this to be spread out over 2 pages, how would I do this?

Hi MrsHuffsClass. That’s a good question. I think you can lock things in place. If you’d like, we can chat on Facebook @howboutthemapplesteacher!

Girl! Just wait for my next video coming up! I’m going to cover ALL of that!! So excited to post it!
Great video! Because these are google slides, don't you have to make a text box every time you want to add something?
