Thanks for the tester review. A lot of these cable/signal tracers have an RJ11 plug, I have a more expensive one made by Progressive Electronics that the give you the clips & RJ11. The Mastech seems like a decent tool for the money. Although a dual high & low tome sometimes travels over the wires better.
I am considering modifying this unit to either change the tone or try almost flip flop the tone between two different frequencies. Should not be too difficult. Interesting about the higher cost units having same connections. I guess I could just make up and adapter to sort that out. As for the money. YES... They are much cheaper than anything else locally available here in SA. This unit I had to bring in from China.
Dont know if you guys cares but if you are bored like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother recently xD
I had bought this unit about 4 years ago. what a piece of CRAP!.... the RJ11/ RJ45 connection is absolutely rubbish!....the sound is soooo low you can barely hear it. and thats just on the attached white lead. attaching it to another cable/RJ45 socket with other cables is near impossible to trace/hear any tone!....absolute waste of money. don't buy it! (if this crap is even available now!)

can you do a series with testing micro/milli voltages and amps?
Sure can. Will do it using a basic line meter. Give me a couple of days. :-)
I think he was yawning a few times LOL
Hi, in Europe you can find the same for € 14.53 either R 236.
C'est du propre ! MDR
Doesn't work for my Gardena lawn mover cable ... weak signal, I must send it back.
However, it would be good to read the operating instructions before the presentation...

Useless if the cable is burried. You need to touch the cable to have a signal. You need a pro tool (255 euros) for example : Mastech MS-6818
alguien en español podra decirme para que sirve. lo herede de mi abuelo y no se que es ¿parece un vibrador?
