When i was a liitle kid watching this on adult swim, this episode really fucked me up. My 7 year old mind couldn't handle the intense feels and finding out its loosely based on a true story makes it hurt even more.
This episode is one of the sad ones of futurama

Actually it's been considered as one of the saddest moments of TV show of all time.

This episode was so relatable to me.
I used to have a dog named Bandit, he was the runt of the litter.
He was a little dachshund, yes he was a miniature, but for the kind of miniature he was, he was very small.
You could naturally see his ribs, no matter how much he ate. It wasn't an unhealthy thing, it was just him being so small.
We adopted him and his sister (who was very chubby and sweet) and his sister was always very protective of him.
When they turned 14 the sister passed away, and Bandit fell into depression. He didn't eat as much, threw up a ton, and would cry at night. I was the most attached to him, and seeing him like this made me sad. A few months later, he passed away as well. I cried for days, ignored everyone, and went through a depression. Luckily, I've gotten over it, but i still get sad whenever I think of him.

i actually cried watching this, dogs do anything for us and we just leave them behind and put the same meal to their bowl every day, we treat them like a car we don't want and they treat us like the only thing they have. we honestly don't deserve them

Jurassic Bark is a real heartbreaker for me because it reminds of my old dog Buddy. I remember adopting him a day before he was going to be put down. He was a sweet dog. But sadly my mom couldn't keep him with us so he lived at my dad's home. I barely got to see my dad,so I barely got to see Buddy. But when I did come,he was so happy to see me. Sadly,he had to be put down due to a stomach tumor. I saw this episode again one night and I started to cry. I was heartbroken. May my Buddy rest in dog heaven.

You're dumb, he fell into a time-travel like invention, but while in that invention, you can't leave until your time you've picked is done.
He can't possibly remember a dog from the past 1000+ years in the future.
Fry actually realised that the time he should had spent in the past couldn't be recovered, as long as his memory of Seymour. Then, he ended up with his grief and humbly accepted his fate. By far, for me he deserves respect.
