    It’s the best! He’s a trooper. Not always easy to catch these fish. He’s patient. Lucky to have a lifelong fishing buddy!

    what rod and leader set up is that?

      My rod is a CTS Affinity X. It’s a 10 foot 3 weight euro nymphing rod. The reel is a Reddington TILT. I keep a 3 weight floating fly line on the reel. In this video I’m using a mono rig. It consists of a 24 foot section of 20 lb maxima. That transitions to 12 lb amnesia to my 2X sighter. I put a tippet ring at the end of my sighter and use fluoro for my tippet. If I want to switch to dries, I clip off the monorig, spool it up, and add a dry fly leader. The Affinity isn’t the best pure dry fly casting rod, but I don’t like trying to fish with two rods.
