While that didn't happen in this video, you also didn't prepare for that possibility. Make sure that braking is the #1 priority.
rev-bombing in general is just moronic, even besides the fact they'll probably not hear you due to soundproofing/music playing, you are voluntarily placing YOUR health and safety into the "trust" of others. And using the clutch/not braking just means you're casually coasting towards a potentially dangerous situation. Just brake (if possible with trafic behind you) and manage the situation, don't escalate or keep yourself in that dangerous situation because you think you "own" that Lane/Right of way. Spoiler: If things do go wrong, YOU are the one with injuries, not the car, so YOU should maneuver yourself out of danger. Small addendum: The same goes for high-speed lane splitting (not slow filter) and dumb maneuvers like overtaking in corners/intersections.
Exactly most every day drivers are oblivious as it is, your doing 115mph they see a dot of light and start to change lanes not realizing that at that speed they are going to be closing in in a hurry. They dont have that driver speed calculator programed with triple digit speeds . Riders have to be AWARE ALL OF THE TIME

It was clear, but he was speeding past stopped traffic, most cities have laws for lane filtering. You can only go a certain speed past slow or stopped traffic, and the slower the traffic is flowing the slower the speed allowed is.

Some working Rich class guy in Ducati leathers, Ducati branded gloves and boots on his new model year Ducati with the Ducati Tire warmers and the Ducati bike cover showing up to the track on his F-350 with an enclosed trailer all in brand new condition. In the time after the cager looked you managed to speed up right when they changed lanes. the big thing to take away from this experience is that as you sped up it was obvious you were looking down at your speedometer instead of Infront of you.
Riders need to realize that it is difficult for a motorist to accurately determine the closing speed of vehicles (especially small silhouette vehicles such as a motorcycle) in a rearview mirror. They are running say, 45-50mph, check their mirror and see a bike 5 or 6 car lengths back and in the moment it takes to look back forward and begin their maneuver, the bike running twice their speed is next to them. The problem seems to be that too many riders think that speed limits do not apply to them nor do laws governing lane usage. Your classic recipe for disaster. But thanks to Go Pro, we can enjoy the entertainment of watching the butt-puckering moments their stupidity affords us. 😝 thanks kids!

And also as you might have observed the tankslapper was caused by the patch that I hit. Roads over here are pretty much like this because politics, government, etc. This ain’t the first time it has happened , to ride here basically you have to be prepared for the worst case scenarios. And to be honest it might sound insane but I some what enjoy the challenging conditions. Although I wish I had better roads and track facilities over here but beggars can’t be choosers😅.
I shouldn't have to point this out here, but I will for the sake of those who have never experienced the disturbing terror of the "Tank Slapper". The trick is to NOT FIGHT IT, you have to just let go (which is counter-intuitive I know) but if you release all tension on the handle bars the "tank slapping" should quickly subside . If you try to control it with force, it's just gonna get worse. Just let go.

This guy had space and direction just to wait for it to pass. 9:45 - Is what happens when you fight against it. He went straight and he fought with it, and it crashed him.
8:15, he got distracted, and when he realised he had to lean more, he decided to go straight instead. Not target fixated at all, you could be staring off to the left and still make it round the corner completely fine, being target fixated doesn't make you forget how to counter stear, all he had to do was push his right arm forward and the bike would have moved to the right perfectly fine. The issue is people not understanding the mechanics of counter stearing.
Kingjm4 can't be mad or justify his feelings for almost getting knocked off the road after going 117 mph. The car driver could not know how fast that bike is going or see him. I think some motorcycle riders think it should be obvious that think they can be seen just because they have a head light and a break light. It really can be difficult seeing a dude fly probably 40 over the speed limit. I know I wouldn't expect anything like that to happen if it happened to me. This dude would not win a court case. If I had a motorcycle I'd do the same thing what I did with a motorized bicycle i had, throw some bright and visible mounted led flood lights.

Actually, the best thing to do in a speed wobble, believe it or not, is to completely let go and lean back. Any attempt to try and stabilize the bars with your hands will only make it worse.
@@PathinAZ leaning back will help if the front of the bike is too low (or too much weight on front) or rear is too high, if rear is set too low or not enough weight on front it will make it worse

Of course different bikes will act differently, but I have never seen or heard of removing weight from the front during a SW making it worse...even on severely raked bikes. Well, since I haven't tested a SW on every make/model of mc, you never know I guess.

@@andrewd.6072 The body position is not to counter balance the bike its to keep a bike slightly straitened out so hard parts don't hit. Its each their own on that as well, look at actual racers and you will see very different body position on the same corners. (if he was taking a slow right and had his ass off to the left that is counter balance...since you are using counter balance incorrectly I thought an example would be helpful)

With counter balance I intended lower ur center of gravity and allow ur bike, and yourself, to lean more without problems. If u stay still in a bike ur just asking for trouble, obv if it’s a low speed turn leaning is useless but on those high speed situation is vital to stay up. And saying that moving ur body is just to prevent some bike parts to hit is not true at all.. all the bikes already have a maximum tollerance of leaning that u must never go over, and going over this tollerence already means that some parts r touching the ground (usually the footrest)

He obviously was new to track riding and riding outside of his skill level he also was not taking the turn that fast (roughly 60mph) you can see him turn into the corner and at that speed and lean over he could have had his whole body off the bike he would have still low sided it.
He, signaled, looked and tured. The bike was behind him and didn’t even consider staying in his lane and just went straight around without even considering the car might switch lanes (when he literally had the turn signal on)

Roads over here are pretty much like this because politics, government, etc. This ain’t the first time it has happened , to ride here basically you have to be prepared for the worst case scenarios. And to be honest it might sound insane but I some what enjoy the challenging conditions. Although I wish I had better roads and track facilities over here but beggars can’t be choosers😅.

I shouldn't have to point this out here, but I will for the sake of those who have never experienced the disturbing terror of the "Tank Slapper". The trick is to NOT FIGHT IT, you have to just let go (which is counter-intuitive I know) but if you release all tension on the handle bars the "tank slapping" should quickly subside . If you try to control it with force, it's just gonna get worse. Just let go.

Not target fixated at all, you could be staring off to the left and still make it round the corner completely fine, being target fixated doesn't make you forget how to counter stear, all he had to do was push his right arm forward and the bike would have moved to the right perfectly fine. I think some motorcycle riders think it should be obvious that think they can be seen just because they have a head light and a break light. It really can be difficult seeing a dude fly probably 40 over the speed limit. I know I wouldn't expect anything like that to happen if it happened to me. This dude would not win a court case. Actually, the best thing to do in a speed wobble, believe it or not, is to completely let go and lean back. Any attempt to try and stabilize the bars with your hands will only make it worse.
@@PathinAZ leaning back will help if the front of the bike is too low (or too much weight on front) or rear is too high, if rear is set too low or not enough weight on front it will make it worse
@@UFO-047 Well, not in my experience. The goal is to take any weight that is, off the front forks; as much as you can really. Of course different bikes will act differently, but I have never seen or heard of removing weight from the front during a SW making it worse...even on severely raked bikes. Well, since I haven't tested a SW on every make/model of mc, you never know I guess.

@@andrewd.6072 The body position is not to counter balance the bike its to keep a bike slightly straitened out so hard parts don't hit. Its each their own on that as well, look at actual racers and you will see very different body position on the same corners. (if he was taking a slow right and had his ass off to the left that is counter balance...since you are using counter balance incorrectly I thought an example would be helpful)

With counter balance I intended lower ur center of gravity and allow ur bike, and yourself, to lean more without problems.
If u stay still in a bike ur just asking for trouble, obv if it’s a low speed turn leaning is useless but on those high speed situation is vital to stay up.
And saying that moving ur body is just to prevent some bike parts to hit is not true at all.. all the bikes already have a maximum tollerance of leaning that u must never go over, and going over this tollerence already means that some parts r touching the ground (usually the footrest)
@@andrewd.6072 1 you ride a motorcycle not drive it 2 body placement is more important while slow (watch any good police training video or gymkhana). 3 if he was doing a track school or similar they would not want him hanging off the side like Rossi. He obviously was new to track riding and riding outside of his skill level he also was not taking the turn that fast (roughly 60mph) you can see him turn into the corner and at that speed and lean over he could have had his whole body off the bike he would have still low sided it.

He, signaled, looked and tured. The bike was behind him and didn’t even consider staying in his lane and just went straight around without even considering the car might switch lanes (when he literally had the turn signal on)
