The way that I obtained the ale for this quest was from the NPC named Reed Buckley...he's the same guy that asks you to obtain the meat. If you visit him and shop with him you can find various drinks that he sells in the "Misc." category. Buying either of these will complete that part of the quest. I hope this helps! 😁
