Can we be safer?

Too many accidents and deaths on the roads lately, especially involving bikers. What can we all do to be safer?

The road are too busy with tourists and stressed/high distracted drivers, I see a lot of commercial drivers pushed for time taking chances too, it's just not safe anymore.

thankfully, the vast majority of roads I take have few, if any, commercial trucks. I agree though about distracted drivers. They are a danger to us all.
