My thing with sesko, yh he is a good striker but we have already a young striker in jackson. If we do sign sesko, what does that do for jackson. With osimhen he's 25 experienced, suits what the squad is missing and very good. And osimhen will get used to prem football quicker than sesko because before this season sesko was playing in the Norway league same as haaland but haaland numbers was insane and had like 2 full seasons at dortmund before moving. When osimhen is 30, jackson will be hitting his prime and it be better for jackson to have osimhen to learn off than a fellow young striker in sesko and do we want to go into next season with 2 young strikers.
Problem with Victor is his release clause, too expensive

Austrian not Norwegian league. sesko is in much better form and has scored or assisted 10 times in his last 11 games. it'll comes down to price and availability. i would prefer a cheaper prem proven option like toney for 40 mil

And Chelsea have Deivid Washington as another young centre forward at 18 years old and both could learn from Osimhen. If both could learn their trade from Osimhen, then we could be good for the next 10 to 12 years to come.

The defences in Seria A are far harder to score against than in the Bundeslega.
Osimhen is the better option imo. He also is Older, has won trophies before and also has Leadership qualities which we are lacking.

Osimhen in 2019 was one of the top strikers in ligue 1 so saying Sesko currently is better than Osimhen in 2019 is false. He even scored against us in 2019 while at Lille.
I think Osimhen also won the u17 world cup, while being the top goal scorer. He is clearly the more proven striker so get him. Sesko will end up benching to Jackson I can just feel it. Bundesliga is easier, I bet Jackson would score +20 goals in that league

Yea nah, Sesko has ended the season strong, but he could get a game at the start for whatever reason. If he was 22 or 23 without the increased release clause I'd say it might be worth the risk, but 20 for 65, up to 75 million is too much. Osimhen is by far and away the best striker on the market, the release clause may be big, but for a player of his quality I think it's worth it. Let's also not forget that despite missing a month for afcon, and Napoli having a terrible season, he's still managed 17 goals. 25 years old, a league winner, the backing of Chelsea legends, Osimhen, even for over 100 million is the safer bet.
And also his contract expires in jun 30 2025 which means we can get him for less than 30 million euros.

We absolutely do not have time to work on two "project" strikers while trying to confirm top 4 or challenge for the title next season. We already have Jackson who is a promising one. So if there is someone competing with him, I would rather have a lesser talented but more experienced player who we know can deliver what we expect of him.
Osimhen is of course the best of both worlds. But I would rather have someone like Callum Wilson over Sesko. If we can get Toney on a financially favorable deal, even better. Sesko is very talented but unless we are sure he is ready to bag 25 a season for us we should stay away from him (usual benchmark would be 15 but Jackson's already done while being a much better player in general play). I don't think he's ready but I also thought Palmer wasn't ready to start all games for us when he joined so I could be wrong.

We already have a young striker in Jackson, and even younger strikers like Deivid, Richards if given more game time would become better than Sesko, so we don't need Sesko. But, even if we needed another striker then we should go for either one of Boniface, Gygkores or Osimhen, those are the only 3 strikers we should be looking at, in my opinion.

Why don't we sign Guirassy. He had a much better season than any striker this year barring Kane. He's 28 so he won't stop Jackson's improvement or block his path into becoming the guy. And if Jackson is in good form he would be fine to sit bench for him. But best of all his release clause is on 17.5m Euros, That's an absolute steal and he'll bring a more experienced striker's knowledge for Jackson to learn off without blocking his path, but if this season is anything to go by, an absolutely lethal goal scorer.
Victor osimhen is the way to go.. No doubt about that. His air dominance and sheer power just suites the premier league. Sesko will be another Timo Werner
If spending is not a problem get experience- Osimen or Gyokeres, if it is a problem get a cheaper option like Ivan Toney or Girassy, remember we still have Nkuku, Jackson and academy strikers like Dujuan & Washington. Sesko for me is not what the club needs at the moment. Experience should be prioritized next transfer window.
guirassy is such a good shout. Experienced, scores goals, good hold up play and cheap af.
The only thing we need in front is experience and someone that Jackson can learn from and emulate in the near future. Osimehn ticks those boxes plus he possessed the hallmarks of being even more prolific in the PL.

There is the issue of quality of league and there are also leagues deemed attacking or defensive.
The only gripe with osimenh is the price, we're gonna need to sell players if we wanna get him and idk if that'll do more harm than good for the squad

I’m fine with just osimhen he is much more proven and experienced, he has the same numbers as sesko while missing a month cause of afcon. He is African and can relate well to Nico, he is expensive this Chelsea. Not to mention he can also be mature and cool headed striker we can rely on big games. We don’t know what would happen if sesko comes and gets crushed by Chelsea fans for underperforming. It’s a risk and I’m tired of buying young risky players. Norway is nowhere near the premier.
I don't think Chelsea should sign either. Instead, we shoud recall David Datro Fofana from loan and give him a shot. Also, Jackson's ceiling is so high. Getting someone like Oshimen will hinder his development. But rotating between Fofana and Jackson should be a good idea as it would carry some pressure off Nico's shoulders also allowing Fofana to show what he's about.

Most clubs will soon be following Chelsea's building model, bring in Sesko he's perfect competition for Jackson who is doing well even of he's not as clinical as we want he's doing good to hold his own and i commend him for it we just need to have faith that the guys will come through and make us proud again success never comes without hard work and sacrifice
Compare them with Jackson as well. i think what we need a very experienced sturdy striker like we did with Giroud to complement Nkunku and Jackson. Watkins ,Tony or Callum Wilson. Mitrovic is my ideal one but we wont be able to match his salary now.

Who are strikers who have moved from the Bundesliga (other than Haaland) who have had great success translating his game? Chelsea did have a young man from the Bundesliga who recently left who struggled to translate his game to the EPL. Their body types are similar too…

You haven’t taken into account the league’s they are in I think it’s fair to say the Italian league is a tougher league so it’s more challenging for victor!
Plus Osimhen was gone for a whole month plus during the AFCON with Nigeria this season, he could have gotten more than 17 goals.

Sesko or Toney for me, I might even lean towards Toney. Cheap, older than Jackson so doesn't completely replace him, and prem proven. If we get Sesko for 75m he def starts every game he is fit for but Toney for 40, can easily allow Jackson to start a few games without much fuss.

Is he around 20-27 age range, proven in Europe, in a top 5 league, and has been consistently good in both ligue 1 and serie A? Osimhen is our best bet.

I was down for osimeh month's ago until i saw his peformance in Africa cup of nations. he had a terrible competion. he scored 10 goals in the AFCON qualifiers but just 2 goals in the actual competitons. On top of that, he was missing sitters after sitters and even the coach was playing different strikers after the quarter finals of the coompetition.

Jackson is good enough to lead Chelsea. He needs to work of his finishing and probably needs a mentor. I think a proven veteran striker is perfect for us at this moment in time. Won't be expensive and will provide a precedent for Jackson to build upon. Callum Wilson for me tbh.
