Thanks for the video, I had a similar problem on my 2014 X1 35i. I was getting a U0100 code and just a click from the starter. New battery, same thing. Ended up being the ground strap. Thanks!
Have the random no start. No codes and happened all of a sudden. Replaced the starter and connecting cables because they were fried. Luckily there was no fire. $600 later, still does not want to start. Wondering if this is my problem.
That's great! I think I might have the same issue on my ve eurovan. I wonder if there is a way to test the cable itself. Continuity, or resistance values maybe?

Hey Joe, long time! I guess the resistance would increase. I can measure the resistance of the old cable :)
I replaced this cable and now my engine cranks but it still won’t start. I have a bunch of codes in my engine computer. Now I am very lost.
Is the battery good? Try jump starting the car
