I think she felt humiliated. My parents kicked me out of the house when I had just turned 19 and sent me to live in a another state near my grandparents. They wanted me to mature. It ended up being a good experience but it was terrifying. I had to board a plane and get off at the Houston airport to catch another plane. I'd never been on one before and when I got to the Houston airport it was like a city in itself. After arriving I was immediately taken by my grandparents to get my drivers license and drove a car for the first time. Then I was sent off to find my first apartment. I also had to look for a job but thankfully that wasn't a first for me. I think all of the firsts all at once left me exhausted and my nerves were shot. Eventually my car was on empty and I had to get gas. It was self explanatory. All that stuff was easy but there is always fear of the unknown and when you're doing something new you feel dumb. Just remember there is always a first time for everything and it is important to be independent and strong.

Hello i am arabic, so why this usually happened in west here you still live in your parents house even if you turned 30 or 40... Can anyone explain why in west family kick out their children
Jabberwockie What about all those times you were with someone that was pumping gas? You never thought "hmm, I I'll observe this and remember it for when I need to pump my own gas"? It's repetitive, your mom pumped gas a lot and you never once paid attention 🤔
Just back from my first time here in the UK. Nobody ever showed me either so I didn't know that I had to put my debit card and PIN number in BEFORE pumping the fuel and spent about 2 minutes trying to get the pump to work haha. Luckily for me there was a friendly woman behind me who showed me how.
@@bigpump2103 it's a lot easier and safer to have someone else do it but it's best you learn how to pump your own gas cause when you go on road trips outside of new jersey then there won't be gas attendants to pump the gas for you some have them but they charge more money to have the attendant pump it for you and in that case i'd rather do it myself
I remember giving my friend a ride somewhere and had to stop for gas. Left it to fill up automatically. Went inside the gas station to use the bathroom and when I came back there was a gallon of gas sprayed all over the car and ground because my buddy who had never used a gas pump in his life and was “in a hurry” thought he would help and pull the nozzle out himself while holding the trigger down. I used to love driving around and cruising with people when I was younger and now I don’t know how I ever used to stand it.
In the UK it’s simple. Chose diesel or unleaded - Pick it up and insert the pump into the nozzle and pull the trigger to start pumping. Then pay for it inside usually.
Drive a diesel car, accidentally fill with petrol. Panic and pull out nozzle early and spray yourself and car passengers with petrol. Panic, and light a cigarette. Petrol station explodes and old peoples home and school adjacent also catch fire. Several hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage and 37 fatalities. The press and public dub you 'The Fatal Fuel Fool' and an inquest finds you not guilty but suggests a permanent revocation of your driving licence. The families of the deceased launch a private prosecution and you end up in debt for the rest of your life!!! Not so simple. My quads are now huge from riding my bicycle everywhere.
@Lex Beltran It was easy peasy! I knew what to press and what not to press (: Unfortunately, the gas pump at the gas station I was at wasn't able to lock the trigger so I had to hold the handle while the tank was filling up. Also, when I took out the gas pump, some gasoline almost dripped on to my shoe. To any first-time gas pumpers reading this, watch out for the extra gas that might drip out of the pump when you're taking it out.

I made a guess and said 8$ lol. The fuel was bout 1/4 at the time. 8$ worth basically filled it for me
@Charnay Frain Why are you not allowed to pump your own gas in New Jersey or Oregan? Genuine question, I'm intrigued? Here in the UK I've been pumping my own gas since I was 16, most petrol stations here in the UK you pump your own gas then pay for it at the petrol station kiosk, some stations are fully self service at night ie nobody in the kiosk you just pay by card and pump gas.
