And Realme also does this. They need to stop it. Save the two 2MP cameras and give us a sensor with OIS or a x2 optical 12MP sensor or something. Besides if an ultra wide has auto focus it can give us great macro shots.

It's just to fool the non tech savvy people. People always look for numbers, whether it is megapixel count or the no of cameras. And, the worst offender is Realme. Realme 6i for example doesn't even use the depth sensor, it's just a dummy prop on the phone to make it look like it has quad cameras...
FYI just incase you didn't know, alot of programmers ahve put in so much effort into porting gcams into different devices. My Poco F1 was recording 4K in 60 FPS with one of those camera mods, and it had worse specs than this one, so imagine using it on this. If you're worried about that, just download one fo the mods and try it out, it's a life changer. especially for uploading to instagram and snapchat. My F1 was putting iPhones to shame. Try it out buddy
@@alexgallegos6777 I don't think that they are as have seen photos from both and also the pixel even the budget pixel 3a has optical image stabilisation and the pocophone doesn't have it. so for example there is no way that night shots could be as good as OIS is vital there.
I'm one of the few that will be totally satisfied with this kind of cam performance. If I try to use my cam in the dark it's just blind af. If you're coming from an old entry level like me, this will surely satisfy you.
I actually own this phone I just got it a few days ago. I think it's great, it's a great overall package for the price. I personally love the macro cam because it helps me read very small text. I've used it a few times now for this and then comes in handy for sure.

@@Techtablets I find that if you want multiple cameras, that only these three make sense: Regular, wide and telephoto. I would even go a step further to say in that order of priority as well. In my case, I don't think that I will be using the macro camera all that often, and the depth camera at this point with all the AI stuff seen on the front facing camera is not really needed anymore.
For the sake of getting into bigger market copying big companies camera setups made them think they do it better not understanding what the people need
I think they won't be putting OIS in their lower mid range phones due to business decision but for the successor to Poco F2 Pro, there might be hope since it's suppose to be a flagship killer. Can't imagine them actually doing it in X4 and call it mid-range killer 😛
From what I've seen in other videos the colors seems much more natural and maybe it even has higher dynamic range in super steady mode (1080p 60fps). I wonder how it would look like to use that footage and upscale it with AI to 4K? :p

Agree with you with the useless camera modules. I'm hoping Xiaomi releases another smartphone similar to the Note 5 AI, at least one f1.7 main sensor with dual pixel autofocus + OIS. If they want to add another, I'd prefer a telephoto lens that has 5x optical zoom. Honestly a main sensor with DP AF + OIS is enough and just put another quality front sensor that has OIS. Added bonus would be with Android One hehehe.
I got this phone for myself for Christmas. I'm the average user, but I do care about the camera quality, and for this price this phone has a really great photo results. Back in 2017 I bought the phone for exactly the same price as Poco, and it has a sad 12mp back and 8mp front cameras...
Appreciate the honest review. I wish they would do away with putting useless camera lenses. It should be about quality vs quantity. I'd rather have a 1 camera lens that takes awesome pics vs multiple lenses where the quality is meh.
for the price, its a slam dunk. There are very few phones that can compare in that price range. Lets be honest, popular brands offer you less for a higher price tag. The only issue is.....do you have the courage to answer when asked what kind of phone it is.

Does the ultrawide have autofocus for both photo and video? Most budget phones have fixed focus on ultrawide. Could have done away with the macro & depth and just put a dedicated 3x telephoto but phone camwras are like car horsepower or flashlight lumens, etc. Higher numbers sell. It doesn't mean that it's good for day to day use.

It's so cool snap 732 can handle stabilizing 4k footage even if there are some stutters and flickering.
