I like to think the world is saver now.
I'll still remember this one invasion that I was a part of. In gank city, the host is flying around with the wrath of the gods constantly going off. All the invaders eventually start worshipping him as a god, we all sprouted dragon heads as a sign of our worship. He would occasionally come down and make people float after riposting them. I was there for about half an hour until I was sacrificed.

I never liked pvp on any kind of game, but I would like to try it if all hackers were like that #1.
There needs to be a game where that sort of thing is exactly the point of the game.
In other words: Good hackers are ones that don't do stuff that would give them an unfair advantage
Good hacking is when you deck yourself out in order to have fun with other people, or change something in a way to make it interesting and teasing. Bad hacking is when you want to stroke your ego by changing the game in a way to always win, just because you suck so much at the game.
I use inf health but I turn it off when I invade or get invaded. I just like playing the game.
I really like the idea of the last clip, you play as a custom boss is a brilliant idea
Fs should make that a feature for pvp
I agree it would be cool but Too many mean players would abuse it.
It could honestly be a mode,where a player becomes a boss with a certain custom moveset and invaders have to kill him for special loot
Christian Martin That was a boss in Demon Souls. The mage boss, an invading phantom would take over and the boss becomes an actual player you have to PvP

the number 1 hacker in this video is just about every hacker that messes with the game to make it seem better as an overall game or just to make it fun for other players instead of someone that hacks to ruin the days of unsuspecting players

More of an impromptu and unexpected but welcome modded boss fight, really. Someone should try and mod a bossfight so it replicates him because that legit looked like an awesome boss fight.

I got one in dark souls 2, it was a three phase fight, where he would come back after I killed him. He had cool combinations of spells, and he even acted the part, only walking, and not healing, it clearly had a theme. I won the fight barley thanks to broken lifegems

yea if there we're more hackers that we're capable of doing what he did, making a character with different skills and what not but still a weakness for balance hackers would be less looked down upon

Well, i got invaded by meme solaire, he used force, and my screen went white for almost 20 minutes, then i tried running away, he did this again and it was like watching a nuclear explosion in the distance getting closer...

Oh, SLB! Let me refresh your memory! Hackers frequently used dragon-form because they gave themselves infinite stamina, which gave them infinite dragons breath when using the head, which just instantly obliterated even the most overgeared characters stamina and hp.

Hey, thanks for featuring my mods! I'm hoping to make some more involved mods in the future similar to (but more complicated than) Estus Quest.
I really liked #1, that's some real dedication to providing a good, fun experience for the other player, and it looks really cool. Maybe in the distant future, we'll be able to modify the AI routines, models, etc. and add an actual boss like that to the game. It would be interesting to fight against, for sure!
I know for DS1 we can modify weapon and armor models. I'm not sure about enemy models; that's not something I have much experience with. And I think it's mostly replacing existing models, rather than what we'd have to do here, which is add something entirely new. But yeah, I should have said "add new models" instead.

I very occasionally put a video up when I make something neat. If I make something substantial like Estus Quest again or make another major modding tool, then I will almost certainly put up a video.
I don't know much about DS1 code but it seems like a good compromise with much less work would be to allow a player to control a pre-existing boss and use it and its coded attacks. Might not work for anything too large because of the camera, but stuff like Ornstein, Artorias, and Gwynn seems like it should be possible.
I would absolutely love fighting one of those bosses with a human intelligence behind it.

Haven't played DS2 in quite a while, but could that black death portal in number 3 be the floor effect when the old Dark dude in the wheelchair activates the portal in the Darklurker quest?

Great vid but I'm a little disappointed I couldn't try to submit because I don't have a way that would give good quality. I have a character that is a Ornstein cosplay but with a slight difference. I've set the health up to 5200 to match new game+ on ds1, given it modded armour to give it hyperarmour, plus 3 & 5 spears and I have a plus 1 spear incase they are low lvl so they have more chance. I use the mimic head and dung pies to lower my health to about 2600 as the first stage using the +3 spear, then if my smough cosplaying friendly summon dies I fully heal with a divine and use the +5 to become stage two. I don't use magic apart from regular lighting spears. I have the Leo ring on for authenticity and the dark wood grain ring coz I think it gets his agility and quick nature.so yeah bit of a shame but at least some of you just read my comment so its not all bad 😊

You did see the part about having a +1 spear and a+3 right I don't try to overpower them I do it in stages like the real boss, a bit like number one in the vid. Sidenote I've lowers my health too 3500 as 5000 was to much for most ppl to get through. I'm not trying to be someone that kills everyone I want to be a mini boss

Aw, shucks! But really, a lot of the reason the two mods shown here and the Item Randomizer mod are possible are because of contributions or work from other community members. Certainly without Wulf's (#6) tools, I wouldn't have been able to do as much as I did.
Well definitely, it opens up possibility for more integrate mods and on top of it all, people revisiting classic Dark souls. There a ton of pretty talented 3D artists and animators. Keep up.

I've never run into mods on console as to be expected, but I have run into people with infinite hp :/ So clearly hackers of some sort.

The whole playing as a boss thing should have been a part of the game from the beginning! That would be so cool, so be able to build your character into a boss once you've beat the game and can have people try and beat them for extra rewards. That would be so cool!
Spears of the church needed a better item at the 30 hand-ins mark anyway... the divine spear fragment is literally "do what the other thing did but better." which is a little lame. Had they added an item that gave you a second phase during the fight, that would've been MUCH better and welcomed. They could even have added an automatic gear-swap that you can configure at the covenant stone, so that when you go into phase 2 you can automatically get a cooler weapon or a certain spell goes off or something... Really allow us to design our own fight as a spear of the church.

That’s the story of Bethesda’s Skyrim and the modders but instead of boss fights it’s games.
The boss fights in this game are amazing and way better than #1
