If you haven't checked it out, it's a worthwhile game to explore. Strategic-level 20th century with economy, intel, tech, and plenty of events to make multiple choice decisions on. that said, it has crazy, intuitive detail on the operational level. You'll have complete oobs for divisions, ship and air specs. All the operational movement is handled abstractly. the 'make a line, dig-in' is all automatic, filtered through the skill of the commander. TMI perhaps. Anyway check it out. It's ridiculously cheap.
