I would be interested in "the rest of the story" about the threat to the ship. Why that particular cruise? What was his motive? And a always I've said we need to stop glorifying these people by announcing their names in these situations as then we have an uptick in copycats doing it for the notoriety. Just like the daily bomb threats at the schools.

Me and my family just the other day were notified our cruise for September 27th on Sarenade Of The Seas was pushed back two days to the 29th, and in addition were told there is a chance the cruise may be canceled entirely. As of now it's changed from 9 nights to 7 nights and instead of sailing in the Eastern Caribbean is now sailing Western Caribbean.

I’d like it. Unless I was on my second write up for calling in. Then I wouldn’t.
I have been fortunate. I was on the Caribbean Princess in 2004, sandwiched by Ivan & Jeanne. Port Everglades was closed on our final day because Jeanne had parked over the port area. We ended up getting 2 extra sea days. My boss back in Vegas was a cruiser himself, so he was very understanding, and jealous. Although it was good for me, it was just a bad situation overall.
