The Jumiso Snail Ex barrier cream is the best thing I ever put on my face!! The texture is lightweight enough to sink in so nicely! Its amazing!! I promise!
Actually the mixsoon bean essence was intended to be used as a peeling gel and not a leave on essence. As an esthetician I always encourage people to read directions to understand the intended use of a product and that will give you the best determination of the results to expect. It was never intended to be used as a serum so I think that may be why people are a bit underwhelmed by the product. There is a master serum in the line of products that was intended to be a serum. I hope this helps anyone out there wondering how to use this product.
I thought it could be used as both? But when I followed the directions I didn't get any exfoliation, but my skin did feel supple. I've seen other people say the same, with some comparing it to/suggesting instead an oil cleasner Unfortunately it seemed to break me out
the Hygge serum looks really interesting! i've been really enjoying products that use a lot of amino acids in the formulation lately as i find it is super hydrating and barrier supportive, i'm trying out the Aestura Atobarrier 365 Hydro Essence and it's phenomenal
Yes me too!! Amino acids are kind of underrated? They’re quite interesting I feel: as a category they are hydrating but each amino acid does seem to have additional benefits.

PS Did you ever finally try the Blithe essences?
It’s interesting how there really is a feeling to that description? It’s hard to put into words, but yep - we have all experienced it! So I did yep! It’s in a past kb speed reviews, and I looove the texture. So nourishing, hydrating, plumping! I also remember getting flustered bc I looked it up and someone on Amazon reviewed it as “might as well buy canned beans, drain the beans, and use that juice on your face.” Ugh! It’s so funny…the day iherb started selling the large tube of the klairs midnight cream it’s been a repeat purchase for me! I use it after I do my weekly Dermaroller session. Great video Alice! I would love to hear your thoughts on soybean skincare! I loved the innisfree soy essence until I realized it’s fragrance was causing me a little trouble!
Seeing “Collagen” in the name of a product is both a good & bad thing. 😂 So true. I’m thinking, “it’s topical benefits are not evidence-based.” Someone else might think, “I will get this instead of that powder I don’t like.” I never thought I would gravitate towards adding steps to my skincare routine. Trying K & J beauty products… 🥰 I get it. Ty Alice!
YUP. I think it’s confusing for newbies to skincare, and it’s not very exciting for the rest of us. I really don’t understand the decision to call it that, as it is such a lovely calming essence. Isn’t that…maybe I’m wrong but…isn’t that even more on trend lol
Different packaging really can make a product look smaller or bigger. The Rare Beauty highlighter is 15ml. It’s the same amount as my small highlighter sample.
I swear, slap any “soothing “ product on my red, rosacea face, and I’ll be the happiest camper in the world. I’m trying so hard, it’s annoying at this point. And I’m endlessly buying minis of the Sulwahsoo overnight masks 😂😂
For the Mixsoon Bean Essence...you said it was tacky. Do you think once is drys down a bit other serums applied on top would be able to get through to the skin, or do you think this serum is occlusive?
It’s tacky but in that richly hydrating way. So if I apply too much of this, I feel it absorb, but it takes seemingly hours. But no I don’t think it hinders absorption
Love the video❤ have you ever used the Vita Genic Jelly Mask, Banobagi brand ? I found them at my local TJmax and I see they sell them online at Stylevana. I really love them and I would love to find a serum with similar ingredients.
Oh interesting, no I haven’t heard of them! Have you checked out more of the brands offerings? I see a few interesting serums (looking on YesStyle for the ingredients lol, but stylevana probably has them too!)
Need to say that the midnight blue calming cream isn't really a moisturizer in the sense that it doesn't contain much occlusives. This is more of a treatment to supplement your moisturizer on sensitive / inflamed areas. I've used it before moisturizer or after moisturizer on specific areas.
Do you ever tried one product from beplain? Bc oh my, I am really loving this brand, it is so so good for my sensitive dehydrated skin. (I love so much the camomile toner)
Alice! hi! Ohh this is so nice! I recently won the midnight blue calming cream + serum in a giveaway! I layer it under Cerave moisturizing cream. Very soothing! Also, recently tried the holika holika less on skin new panthenol emulsion and it’s a weird one for me because my first impression is that it’s streaky using 4 pumps and doesn’t absorb quickly into the skin however, it does absorb once you keep rubbing and patting but I just don’t like that, it’s not cosmetically elegant but I’ll make it work lol
@@AliceintheRabbitHole it’s 5% d-panthenol and lightweight! The cream has 10% but more expensive at only 50ml so I chose the emulsion. The serum is like water and the first step after cleansing! So far so good.. nothing negative to report but I’ll give an update once the bottle is finished!
Happy Friday/Weekend Alice! So many favs today! fYay for the bean essence!! Love it too for its hydrating abilities and the seal it forms- what a unique product! Use it after all hydrating products before creams! love the hyggee even though it has a super long ingredients list- check for it on stylevana as they have the very best price on it ive seen! use it more for its brightening/hydrating feel from the thick gel texture (seaweed heyyy!!) and i feel similarly to you. you would be obsessed with Aestura's 365 Barrier cream as well! slightly lighter and more emollient than illiyoon, but i use it underneath a thick occlusive layer with amazing results- one of my most restorative product favs! They also have an amazing mist with 1% pseudoceramide which i love (cream skin level hydration!) and the water gel cream which has 4% pseudoceramide-the highest i;ve found! Also i've been loving missha's red algae essence, Beplain's chamomile cream and cosrx's advanced snail serum in the dual chambers! hope you have a restful weekend!

You said something about the ingredients in the HaruHaru product; Centella Asiatica, as well as Madecassosides, as in look for both or one over the other?...I missed that. Is there a star ingredient to look for in something with Centella? And you mentioned a new Haruharu Wonder serum that was really good...Is that the Black Rice Serum you're speaking of? Sorry if the first part of the question is confusing...
You know how we say things like, “oh you’re getting a cold? Eat an orange so you get some vitamin c!” Indeed, oranges contain vitamin c, as well as sugar, water, etc. likewise, centella asiatica contains madecassoside (as well as many other chemicals) So you could choose a product that is rich in centella asiatica, and hope to get some of the benefits of the madecassoside - or you could use a product that has standardized the madecassoside content. Now we are into the difference between eating an orange and getting “??” amount of vitamin c vs taking a vitamin c supplement, and getting 90mg per tablet. It’s not necessarily that one is better than the other, but instead that one carries more predictability. Hopefully that helps explain it!

Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask feels like an actual sleeping mask for dry skin. I like using it during winter even though I typically have oily skin
I'm picturing a new company called Might Could Cosmetics. Lots of sweet tea-based products (kombucha), and lipstick shades named after regional barbecue. Definitely a Kudzu Palette (love green eyeshadow)! There should also definitely be something called Nagodoches. 🤣
Omg how hasn’t a company jumped on sweet tea!? That’s truly a missed opportunity 😭
Hygge pronunciation in Danish like….whoogeer:)
Thank you! Whew I hope I can overcome my own accent to pronounce that properly LOL 😆
