I admit it took a while for the realization to hit me -- the eye palette includes the colors of a Chanel No 5 bottle! Black and white for the label and cap, gold for the fragrance, and a crystal hue for the glass. Very thoughtful ... and the look you created is perfect.
Genius, it didn't even cross my mind why they chose those colours but makes perfect sense now!

What a beautiful collection, Allison! The eyeshadow palette is really beautiful. I love the sparkly gold shadow on top of the black, and the black shadow is wonderfully opaque. This collection is opulent and elegant, which is perfect for Chanel’s anniversary and the holidays. I like the liquid eyeshadows as well, but their shelf life is more limited. The lipstick you chose is a beautiful warm pink shade on you, and I don’t see a bit of orange in it. I checked out the Saks link you provided, and the eyeshadow palette isn’t available yet, and the other holiday products are on preorder. Have a wonderful vacation!

Yours is the first RUclips review up on this, well done & yay for it getting to Canada first for a change! Oh that snow globe is adorable! I prefer last year's Chanel holiday collection personally, but there's something for everyone with Chanel! That gold amber liquid eyeshadow looks a bit like the gold single last year? Am interested in the baume or liquid highlighter, are they glittery/shimmery at all or do they highlight texture/wrinkles in your opinion? Have a fab break, well deserved! 😘

Great video Alison. I look forward to seeing other looks you create from this pallet. I was really excited about getting this, but now I’m not sure although I know I want that snow globe. Living in Australia we are now transitioning to Summer so I’m preferring more lighter colourful looks. Got my eye on the balm highlighter stick. Of course this summer season I will enjoy using my Chanel L’eau in both perfume and body mist version. For our previous winter I treated myself with the Chanel no 5 body cream. I was really surprised with how strong that body cream was. I loved to apply it just before bed and it was such a comforting scent on a cold night. II think it will be to cloying over summer so will have to pack it away until next next year.
Also, I’m a bit disappointed with the Chanel nail polishes, I went and brought quite a few and although I loved the colours, I am not impressed with longevity. No matter what I do, bases/top coats I am lucky to get a day out of mine.
Hi Kelly! I find that the Chanel nail polishes very depending on the shade. There isn't one standard for them unfortunately.
@@AllisonChase I still love them and will keep buying as they make me feel good. I thought about going back to using my gel nails or acrylics but they really take a beating on my nails. I brought some Guerlain nail polishes about 5 years back and they were the best formula I’ve used. The bottle was adorable and they had the typical guerlaine scent and one of the best formulas I’ve used. I loved them so much but they stopped selling them here and I was so sad. I still have one bottle left(a top coat) and it’s still good as new. I wish they would bring them back, they were such a treat.

PSA: I was at Holt Renfrew in Montreal tonight (Friday, day of launch) to pick up one of the holiday lipsticks that I had put aside and they told me they still had a bunch of items left so if anyone lives in the area you can still check the collection out :) I was sure they would sell out!

I adore hair perfume! When I wasn’t a covid hermit, I loved to concentrate the spray to the underside of my hair, and when I’m whipping my hair around the dance floor it just blooms!

I bought it last week in Australia where I live, so that was rather fab. I bought the palette, and the Pirate lippy, which to me, has a strong "berry" tone. I am thinking of getting another lippy, more of a cool toned red, warm tones don't suit me. I bought the Chane no 5 EDP in the collection, I think it looks better in real life than in photos, plus I will use it, as its one of my "go too's", thinking of picking up the l'eau too- fab for our Australian weather. I liked your black eyeshadow look! :) :)

Thanks for the video. I am still looking at my quad have not used it yet but I certainly will. I did order the black liquid shadow but in the end the woman I deal with at Chanel was talking to me and I switched to the gold shadow. I hav3 many black like shadows as well as gold but the gold may be more wearable . I was afraid it was too yellow but I trust your interpretation . I passed on the liquid highlighter as well as the stick . I have plenty and not something o will use a lot of. I have 2 other balms from them I use. As for lipsticks I passed . I have pirate and one of the other reds , besides I wanted to get a few Lisa Eldridge’s lipsticks knowing they were coming up and I did .
The look you did was very nice ,pretty but I might have liked a more nude lip but my opinion only because the eyes were so beautiful. Please take no offence not my intention but you asked what we preferred. You still looked stunning.❤️❤️❤️as always.

I’m shocked to find this collection already available in the UK. There was a time when we often used to get collections from Chanel, Dior etc before the US and Canada but this year, we’ve either been way behind or not at all. The advent calendar has already sold out but at £610 it was was an easy pass anyway.
I’ve ordered the palette as I’ve been waiting for it. I can’t decide whether to get a lipstick or not, I love the packaging but rarely wear red lipstick. I wish they’d released a more wearable neutral pink.
With regards to Adele my son took his fiancée to see her for what turned out to be her last concert, it was supposed to be the second last date but she cancelled the last one. He wasn’t a fan himself but after seeing her live he talked of how amazing she was for what seemed like weeks.
That's amazing! I hope she does concerts again soon.
