Well Criken's done us all a great service by blessing us with a perfect example as to why we have health and safety procedures in the round at 1:20:30 and I would be remiss to not use this moment to describe the do's and do not's occurring during that round. So here we go, a short and unnecessary list of Criken and Co's mistakes during the round written by someone who was laughing while being internally infuriated (Read: internally Malding at record age) against their own will at the lack of attention for those interested for whatever reason: 1. it takes about 7 minutes of match time before the reactor is activated. (~1:20:30 - ~1:27:30) 2. A hull breach is neglected in the docking port (Alternatively someone may have left the door open), negatively impacting vertical speeds and active sonar being turned on by default (Thanks Cap'n) with a staggered reactor means the vessel could've alerted every mob around and have been vulnerable due to the ping during the reactor hiccup. (~1:27:40) 3. Cap'n Criken doesn't notice the three(?) mobs biting into the bottom of the submarine on the sonar and also doesn't seem to note the two additional hull breaches and the fact that they are full of water (~1:28:40 - ~1:29:30) 4. Crew leaves doors open behind them while responding to boarding and hull breaches with captain deciding not to close off critical doors to prevent further flooding, you can see the crew do this through the status monitor at 1:30:20 as the room next to the breach fills up as our intrepid first responders leave the door to the hull breach open while deciding how to handle the situation resulting in the loss of valuable time for the sub's lifespan due to flooding reducing buoyancy further. (~1:30:20 - ~1:38:20) 5. Crew panics further spending more time treating their own injuries rather than responding to the aforementioned hull breaches with welders. (~1:31:00 - ~1:38:20) 6. Captain willingly floods the reactor room with water, not sure whether it (the reactor) drowned or not. Regardless, more lifetime is lost due to the additional flooding. (~1:32:35) 7. Mechanic Fixin' Dick don't know how to Fix. (~1:20:30 - ~1:38:20) So TL;DR - It's all Criken's fault as spoken by the red sphere who may or may not be a Fruitable.
And it might be possible that they overloaded the grid as well, making every electrical things on the submarine breaking constantly. And yeah, fixing the breaches is the most important thing in this game unless hostile mobs get inside (The first thing I always deal with first back in beta) cause you can just constantly fix it until the hull got overwhelmed to buy more time.
It's hilarious how they resolved to not be silly and take it seriously, and then immediately die multiple times cause they waste time farting around and being silly.

Yup,he acts like a drone. I can understand when a newbie might panic etc. but like.. Criken just does this all the time, like he expects everyone else to do the job whlist he shrieks and doesn't act or ain't communicating well enough about existing problems like a captain should atleast try to do. If yer a drone, go Assistant or atleast don't pick a role that only One or select few can be.
Feck, I genuinely love how this series grew. Never a dull or boring moment with their antics as well as besting Darkest Dungeon levels of hard. Good show, I've spent too much time on your vods. Good show.
I feel that the AI are actually incredibly useful, but only whe the captain actually tells them what to do, in this case Cricken wasnt making the best use of the AI.
I'm sure you know this by now, but the mission where you crushed the monster, the big problem why the water was not draining from the top of the ship was because all the waterpumps where broken
This game is awesome, but when everybody is ignoring the symbols that say the electronics are damaged, that's when the ship becomes non functional. Seriously, how do you just miss the giant orange and red gears on half the objects in the ship?
Grimty Granule because they’re all a bunch of incompetent nincompoops. And by the time the electronics are damaged, half the crew is dead and the ship is 90% filled with water
