The most frugal diet is one closest to the food plans of the late 1940's. Cooking whole foods from scratch and ensuring proper hydration and vitamin intake. It's cheap, filling and healthy
@@Meemee-mo5it I can recommend any of Marguerite Patten's written works (she was THE wartime authority for The Ministry of Food) and I found old US Public Service Videos about Nutrition on RUclips to be incredibly helpful! Xx
Goat milk on cereal had me cracking up! There is nothing wrong with gluten as long as you aren't sensitive/intolerant. I'm glad these products exist for those who have to be gluten free.
George! Don’t forget sorbet! It’s gluten & dairy free!!! I own an ice cream truck and we always have raspberry or mango sorbet for the df/gf folks and it’s delicious!!
I love that George eats healthy! I have to eat this way too. George is so patient and understanding too. There are so many people that don't understand that eating healthy is not just a choice for some people.
George, I am allergic to wheat and milk and have been gluten-free and dairy-free for 14 years. It's been life-changing for me and it sounds like it has for you too!
Good points! Though I agree with Rachel - don't demonize fruit for its sugar content, yet have nothing to say about added sugars in the ice cream brands or caramel drizzle mentioned. LOL. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist here by the way. 🙋♀️🍎
I usually don't comment. I am a quiet fan and watch all the time. I Loved this video!! I hope that you do more videos like this with George. I wish that we could hear more about healthier eating and George's gluten free diet and how he saves money on his grocery bill. Thank you and God Bless!
I think this is a great video to get peoples wheels turning if they’ve never touched on the subject. If you’ve already been budgeting and are doing the ideas that they said, I don’t think it will be as helpful for you. We are a growing family of five on a tight budget. For families like us, I think it is going to be difficult as the years go on to provide well-rounded, healthy meals for our families.
Loving Rachel’s reactions 😁I understand all the words he’s using I jump on an off the keto train for years also understand all the u. Healthy foods , sometimes we just need a break 😫 thanks George
The last couple of years I have had to become gluten free and should be dairy and corn free as well. I love cooking and baking so that first year was miserable for me. Now after trying many things I have found some amazing recipes and products. I am always excited to find out about new things to try.
Second half of the video is the on a budget part lol. I was like "Dang some of the items can be pricey" when he was talking about some gluten free/Dairy free alternatives.
Love this video! My son is a firefighter and he’s dairy and gluten intolerant. And a newlywed! It’s hard to find budget friendly healthy items. Aldi and Walmart are good to check. More of these videos please It was very fun to watch too. Blessings!
So I just have to say you two are so fun to listen to…I learn something every time from George about something that would never be on my radar and Rachel just wait till George has kids….he will be buying that peanut butter that you don’t have to stir…..you are so real and my daughter and I just love ya! Cute jeans BTW!
I am gluten sensitive because of Lupus. All gluten causes inflammation and inflammation is my enemy! Also, there are 2 things I find as major money savers in making meat go further: 1. A chopstir for separating the granules 2. Mushrooms! They had body and flavor!
FYI Papa Johns pizza has better ingredients than most pizza places. It’s made with whole flour (not enriched or bleached) and no high fructose corn syrup either. Just saying 🤷🏻♀️ Also I agree George in the topic of ice cream. Blue Bell 👎🏻 We are lactose intolerant and the ice creams you mentioned, the bars you mentioned, it can be expensive.
I'm about to go on an AIP diet (no gluten, no dairy, no nuts, no sugar/sugar subs, or artificial ingredients - as well as some other things). I'm excited to learn that gluten and dairy free helps George!
Rachel, you have to start reading the labels. Truly, the detrimental ingredients that the FDA allows in our foods (that are not allowed in foods in other countries) is staggering. GUMs 😂
I am 100% with George, I eat the same way and totally get what he is saying. :) It's def been tough with inflation as I've had to cut back on organic and now focusing on more whole food REAL ingredients. Fun watching this.
Rachel besides budgeting can u maybe do a video on how to get organized with your statements like what’s your book keeping look like . I got in a huge mess with my bank for not tracking every dollar they owe me 5k in checks that I thought cleared for not looking at where my money was going but since I didn’t keep receipts I can’t find it on my statements and they said if I don’t have the proof of those deposits they can’t pay me back mind you these where checks from the court of a debt I owed that they garnished over a year and half after I paid them off they paid me back but I deposited checks of $200 for 1 1/2 years didn’t look back I still was learning about u guys at that time I discover this mistake because they sent me a letter saying they made bank errors but I need proof from years ago of those transactions in order to get what they owe me and I can’t provide them with those receipts and they know that so wisdom key the importance of tracking every dollar I cried for two hours two days ago . Running from that bank tomorrow. So what’s a good way to. Be in order with bank statements receipts of deposits , bills etc if u r lead by Holy Ghost can u make a video. I learned such a lesson at age 42 if I would of been budgeting at that time if those checks this would of never happened to me and I’m running tomorrow pay day to get the app of tracking every dollar guys read this so nothing like this happens to u I don’t wish this on anyone 🙏🤦♀️❤️🙏
So hard to find affordable grain free options. I can easily do just meat, nuts/seeds, veggies and fruit but adding in any grain free snacks skyrockets the bill.
Yes, I love half baked harvest recipes!! I hope she comes out with more cookbooks. And George no, not everyone has a Walmart in there area. I live in the mountains and the two grocery stores closest to me (25min drive) are Albertsons and Ridleys. I wish I had an aldi because I hear lots of good things about it.
Love the useful content for fellow mommies with mouths to feed. However the b-rolls is making my dizzy and the lack of text and transition is a bit .... the video editing could use a little bit more love.
I’m thinking if I can go to court house and explain what happened and when they see wellsfargo didn’t cash them and hopefully believe I deposited them maybe they can hold wellsfargo responsible I’m so clueless and stressed 😩
These are just food swaps. not healthy food swaps. It's not like the other stuff is unhealthy for you, it's just excess that is unhealthy. I would also argue this isn't even budget friendly...
I thought the title of this video was healthy eat ON A BUDGET!! All of the brands/foods that George mentioned are 2x more expensive than regular brands. Wish I made 6 figures like these two to afford their shopping habits
Same here. I like watching Rachel's videos, but it hurts seeing the "frugal" ideas. The last two years, my food budget has been an average of $36.50 a month. I live in the midwest of the USA. Due to multiple disabilities, most days I'm not very functional so live on a very low income. The last two years I've lived primarily on dried beans (cooked obviously) as they are one of the least expensive foods. Seeing suggestions for $5 dinners, that just isn't an option except on very rare occasions.
George, no! Stay away from oat and cashew and all those other alternative “milks”. They’re terrible for you and taste disgusting. Just get some raw milk.
You know this man Bobby has his RUclips channel “FLAVCITY” very successful doing all healthy food and good price!! So many people follow him every he suggest to buy is super healthy with good price
I do over 90% of my grocery shopping at Aldi. The meat and veggies selections are top notch at a great price point.

These are nice options for those with allergies. But, generally speaking, gluten and dairy free is NOT automatically equal healthy 🙈
We are a dairy/gluten free home.
Aldi offers MANY gluten-free and dairy-free items at there store. And at Aldi is saves money for sure.
I love when you both do a show together. I'm cracking up! Lol 🤣
Rachel & George are the dynamic duo!
George, I am allergic to wheat and milk and have been gluten-free and dairy-free for 14 years. It's been life-changing for me and it sounds like it has for you too!
most people that say they are allergic to milk are not.i was one of them.try real milk from a pastured farm from a none breed
Staying away from wheat and dairy has helped my daughter with her autism
A+ show! So informative! Thanks!
George: i’ve been avoiding dairy
Also George: I’ve got the best costco pizza for you!
😂
Lol. I thought that, too.
Caramel also had dairy. It's really hard to find dairy free caramel.
I was pretty confused too
Just take the cheese off the pizza.
Kamel and Cruz. Should be at least a weekly thing. You guys have great energy together.
Hey what you said came true 😅enjoying their podcast
George try organic popcorn with avacado oil and Himalayan salt. It's so great!!!
I have the same problem as Rachel, love Bread and Dairy lol but thankfully I watch my portions and I exercise daily 😅

Fruit by itself is the best meal. 💗 Cheap & Healthy!
George hit the nail on the head with sugar-free and the artificial sweeteners. Aspartame in particular is the worst one of them all.
"I'm not Dwight Schrute!" 🤣
Fave duo! Watching from London, got Aldi here and Whole foods and many more. Kinda relate a bit from the grocery comparison videos 😃

Aldi has awesome gluten free pizza but I don't know if there's a cheeseless one.
Yes! Walmart does sell daiya pizza which is gluten free and dairy free and pretty good.
I have a gluten allergy too and until I figured it out I was soooo sick. It definitely is easier to find gluten free foods now days. Glad I’m in 2022!
George is like "Moe trying to kick Barney out of the bar and then Barney shows back again-meme" 😂😂😂😂😂
A good way to save money is to try intermittent fasting. Our grocery list is smaller since we don't have breakfast

7:47 on the dairy issue.
Great job, guys!!!
Ironic that I'm watching this while eating donuts lol
George, why caution against the sugar in fruit right after pushing the non-dairy ice cream as a "health" food?
-I stick to black coffee ...
-Has a coffee w oatmilk and caramel drizzle on the side of the couch lol
Loved the video
I loved I Dream of Genie as a four year old!
So funny. You mentioned Mayfield and Jeni's. I love them both too!!!
Organic Rice and beans with tomatoes, cucumber, boil eggs and some lime and top 😋😋😋😋
Most Carmel sauce has wheat and dairy in it…might want to check that since you had the cold brew with it.
Haha such a funny video. Sibling vibes. I wish I could tolerate lactose and eat pizza all day :( I miss cheese
BEST BREAD now…..is BFREE!! Not the white, but the grain one. Officially blows all the others we’ve tried out of water! Trust me

They where garnishing after I paid them off that’s why they sent me refunds for a year and half I left that out
Thank you George! I was recently diagnosed with gluten intolerance, always on the lookout for good food.
Can you do a behind the scenes of your setup and what cameras and everything you use? 🤗
I prefer eat rice and beans with tomato then eat all the bad ingredients big corporations add to food today days

Are those Costco pizzas (gluten free) George likes also non-dairy (George says he's dairy free)?
George, get a Ninja Creami to make your own ice cream! Sorbet or any type of milk can be used.
And garden, which is the easiest way to go organic!
Hey yall
gluten free and dairy free does not equal healthy this should be titled eating for allergies
How is the flavor on the gluten-free (opposed to the regular pizza like the italiian sausage they have) thin-crust?
Just get Keto bread, they are so good.

Healthy food on a budget? Ten minutes in and nothing cost savings. It is all about gluten free or dairy free foods which are often not cost effective.
I made my own almond milk with a almond cow machine and I make PB with just peanuts in a blender :) cheaper
✝️🙏
Always read ingredients!! Not all gluten free products have clean ingredients. Grass fed farm meat. Lamb is the best meat.
Legit
Healthy doesn't just mean Gluten or Dairy free. The less ingredients the better.
Claims he cut out dairy, first substitute is a four cheese pizza
I also read the ingredients 🤣🤣 NO GUM or natural or artificial flavors
Instead of buying gluten free wraps... Do lettuce wraps
