“Has it ever struck you that life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quick you hardly catch it going?”― Tennessee Williams.
Music is a highly subjective experience but he will be remembered as the greatest composer of the first quarter of the 21st century if not the most popular. Popularity now achieved by the soundtracks to successful movies.
One of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard and will hear. The story in between notes and inside people's eyes is so touching. It made me cry many times.
Love listening to Max discuss Mercy. I'm 60 and have loved and listened to music of many genres all my life. Played a little too. Mercy is the most beautiful, emotional, soaring, stunning, tragic, uplifting....simply the most gorgeous piece I've ever heard, closely followed by much of Mr Richter's extraordinarily magnificent body of work That's all I want to say.
As the man is so prolific and only 55 (musical prime) l agree momentarily depending on how profound the need to be touched. My gratitude for the accessibility of his many masterworks is indescribable.
Ive been listening to your music for a few decades and am always enveloped by it's melody and the warm flow. This piece has an empathetic quality in it. Also your appearance on New Sounds is an extra treat I always look fwd to. Mercy has great reaching but the thing is, it should come w/a handbook on what the intention is of it. The average person, this piece should reach & teach, who listens to this prob won't interpret it's primus. I think that would encompass, I'd say roughly 39% of the world . I'm being generous here, and maybe 60% of the "United" States. No, I doubt, now, that it's part of the rest of the 🌏 And if there will be 🌏☮, well we'll 👁👁
THANK YOU, FROM KORIA★
i listen to your stuff in very heavy traffic - it keeps me from killing someone, kidding but it does keep me calm when i look over at someone beside me in heavy traffic and it looks like they want to kill someone, i love the quality of mercy and all the covers of it.
How is it people that the kindest people are the ones who are mocked and beaten down . I thought this world would be easy and kind full of love , I look around and see so much pain, you relize your only a pawn I someone's game . Keep moving forward fight the good fight . Heavenly father or mother is real . Keep fighting the good fight . Anyone struggling your not alone they keep deleting my post because I spread love and peace on earth instead of hate and anger it hurts because everyone else's is doing it so why should you I get it we're all alone out here and it hurts .
I have always side-eyed the UDHR as the same year it was passed was the same year a racist, segregationist and oppressive system of law was passed in South Africa and three years before that it became a member of the UN. I have always wondered who was human and deserving of those rights. UGHR did form the foundation of international human rights law.

I've never met a South African who listens to Richter. Can we be friends? :)))
The crimes against peace and humanity continued unabated.
@@lesego3965 l share your skepticism. My S'African friends are less than open.
I believe all compositions should be labeled by number, so as not to be confused with the artist's interpretation.
