most people just don't like Turbo engines because they make more power on top end and not the bottom. There are a few guys who run diesels but they seem to be heavy and lack power on the top end.

I wonder what make some machine/drivers more successful than others. The differences between machines are huge, but there is no single key that stands out between the ones that make it look easy and the ones that don't make it.
Hard to tell sometimes, but in this case I think it was a bit of both. The drive started the wrong line, and when he got into trouble he reacted to aggresively. The buggy might have lost traction, maybe because it didn't have a great weight distribution. On the oher hand, I have seen vehicles lose traction due to a 50/50 weight, as traveling uphill is difficult with no weight on your front.
Not fair, the first cars that goes through that passage have the best road while the last ones gets the worst out of it, rocks moving, trees root out, lots of ditches left in there... I mean the worst!
