In my first two scenarios I ran after years of not being a GM, I probably over-prepped and almost scripted my game. Naturally, my players went completely off-piste, threw curveballs and I ended up winging it. It worked but I didn't really find it satisfying. I did learn about not trying to be too proscriptive, though.

Never in all my years of gaming have I ever thought of putting rules or reminders on the back of a character sheet
Definitely using some of these tips before my next game

I definitely agree that music during games can detract from the whole experience. So many GMs seem to go overboard with that aspect of their campaigns if Reddit posts are any indication.

I love to use ambulant sound rather than music, can real add to immersion

Yes, choosing the correct music is a skill in itself. It’s there to heighten the mood, not distract

Yeah. A few Keepers I played with used music bots on Discord, and luckily you can turn it off for yourself. For me I just want to concentrate on the other player’s and Keeper’s voice, so when I play I don’t like having music/ambience.
      Just personal preference.

Love the idea of random name lists and basing random people on people you know. Seems obvious once said.
