That was my group out there. Thank you Matt for the rescue! It was getting cold out there. Rob in the Jeep was a bit behind the KRX in front of him and did not see the bypass that we all had taken around the "Bathtub". He did see the previous tires tracks of all the other Jeeps who went that way earlier this week. Considering we had just crossed this river a dozen times, he proceeded boldly into the water. He put it in reverse but the Jeep dug in quickly.

Matt and his team to the rescue of another Jeep in George's bathtub. Good job winching him out and Lizzy didn't have to get wet because the customer was there! Yes we agree Matt needs to post a sign or the Park Service saying deep hole do not enter! Morrvair is one awesome recovery vehicle for these jobs!
i was surprised the situation couldn't be overcome by the Moorvair's weight. Would any sort of heavy duty wheel-chock add any grip? Getting to your customer in 3 hours in that location is lightening fast! One lesson in this video is 'when stuck in water, don't shut it off unless you have to'. Thanks again for adding some entertainment to our morning.
Its a 50/50 sort of thing. If you manage to ingest water to a running engine you can break all kinds of stuff and do a lot more damage, but if you shut it off early you might not get it running again anyway. Truth is cars / engines just don't mix well with water.
I've gone through several parts of Rattlesnake and Nephi's Twist and thankfully I've never gotten far enough to find the bathtub. I'm perfectly fine avoiding that.
Someone should put a calculated depth gauge/measurement stick in the pond near the side, measured in feet of course, so people can see the water level and would know if they could make it through. Something to that effect. Thanks for everything you and the team do, Matt!!!!.
This was textbook recovery! I nag a lot on this channel, when I see something worth criticizing, but this time awesome job! I would unroll cable to the end to make winch life easier (sounded like it REALLY needs some greasing) and put cable damper, but it was safe and solid recovery, made very quickly.
