Notre Dame without Olivia Miles, isn't close to an Elite 8 team. Hopefully, next year, Olivia Miles stays healthy and these younger players off the bench this year get better next year and Notre Dame will probably need 1 to 2 transfer portal players to be an Elite 8 or better team like Maryland or South Carolina. Good luck to Maryland in your Elite 8 game, probably against South Carolina, and Go Irish and good luck next season.
@midnight 2021, you are dead on with your assessment. I thought that it was a very poorly called game against Notre Dame. They got all of Notre Dame's Bigs in foul trouble in the third quarter! Come on, who can win with all of your three bigs on the bench in foul trouble by the third quarter? Notre Dame was getting hairline fouls against them, but they were getting beaten up and nothing was called. BUT Midnight 2021, here's where your assessment comes in. Even with all of the really bad calls that Notre Dame getting, they need another good ball handler, a three-point shooter, and an Atheltic Big for down low to compete with all of the other top teams. Look at all of the top teams, they have a post player who can SCORE, we don't have that post player who can give us points. LSU, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, they have that inside threat! We don't!
It is a shame that Olivia Miles is injured or this would have been a much better game. Oh well, I don't see Maryland, UCLA or anyone taking down SC but you never know. Hope springs eternal.
The history of ND is making lame excuses with typical delusional Damester whining . ND could have had Sue Byrd on T hair team today and still would gave gotten massacred by 15 to 20 points.
The fact is that Maryland already beat a ND team at full strength earlier this season. Case closed.
@@ernestkovach3305 Perhaps but I actually don't cheer for any specific team. I just enjoy watching the best women playing against each other. Olivia Miles is one of my favourite players as are Diamond Miller and Shyanne Sellers. As a Canadian I always cheer for every Canadian player as well. For me it is about how you play the game, not whether you win or lose. Even in the Olympics now it has become one "Winner" and the rest are "Losers". I believe that every person who makes it to the Olympics or March Madness is a winner and they should all be celebrated. Old fashioned notion I know.

Yup, I wasn't too impressed by their win against the overrated UCLA, today. If SC is so great, they should have scored a lot more points against the young and inexperienced Bruins.
