They certainly were. I'd actually owned the game for ages without actually realising they were in there back in the day, because I hadn't really played the mission modes (and I'd moved on to Coast 2 Coast by that point} . I was actually just randomly surfing the Internet on a night shift in the job I was in at the time when I discovered it. Needless to say after that, my shift couldn't finish soon enough so I could get home and try them...
I noticed some fps drops here and there. Else it was a delight to see these Scud Race tracks. However they don't appear as vibrant and crisp as the Model 3 version, possibly due to a different lightning model or colour pallette perhaps?
@@ark9515 The frame rate drops seem to be something that happens when you play the game on 360 (the OG Xbox version of Coast 2 Coast seems to fair better in this regard on 360). I think the visual differences between this and the actual Scud Race tracks can be put down to the fact that they're running in 2 totally different game engines. Also, Outrun 2 is already packed with a lot more content, so some compromises were probably made to these tracks.
Thanks man. Yeah, I'm glad it's finally sorted. I actually upgraded to Fibre Broadband this week, so I can actually finally watch my own videos in 4K. Also, it's reduced my upload times by such a massive amount it's unreal. This 4K video file would've taken me about a day to upload previously. I uploaded it tonight in under 10 minutes.
Yup, it's a shame Sega never made an ultimate version with all the content and best bits from each version, back when they still had the Ferrari license.
You need to beat Missions 4 and 6 respectively for the Scud Race and Daytona tracks. There are codes you can enter in the gallery mode to cheat and unlock them too, but they don't stay unlocked when you next play the game that way. If you check the GameFAQS website it tells you all the codes.

If you're playing a PC based Outrun game, it's not this game, which is Outrun 2 on Xbox. If you're playing Outrun 2006 Coast 2 Coast, you have to earn Outrun miles by playing the game. You can the use these to buy cars, music and courses in the Outrun shop.
@@lazybrother11 Xbox emulation of Outrun 2 is very far from perfect. You'd be better off just getting an actual Xbox and a copy of the game. You can get both for very little.
@@dbnpoldermans4120 I have been looking at HD cable options for the OG Xbox (and recently found out how to switch region on my soft modded consoles, to get those display options in the first place, as natively my UK Xbox doesn't do HD}. They're not cheap though...
@@MrThunderwing My original xbox that's modded has HD and I use the official HD component box. Outrun 2 looks great on it in 720p. I do use the HDMI pound cable now and then but it's not as good as the official HD component box. There is a way to make the resolution even better though by using the hdmi pound cable and running it through the M cable. The M cable is a bit expensive though £100+ but it has antilasing and smooths out all the jagges. You will need the hdmi pound cable because its the only one that splits to plug in the M cable. Hope this helps but check out Adam Koralik's channel on this subject, he's shit hot on it and loves the original Xbox.

How dare they remove the Sega Saturn logo on top of the bridge in the first part! 😮😢
Sucks these aren't in C2C. I love playing that version. It's amazing what content is in which version.

I thought only Japanese version contains Scud Race and Daytona tracks?.

I wonder if they just ran out of space on the disc to fit those extra stages in on top of the extra 15 SP stages.
Been playing a lot of Outrun 2 lately, looks great in 480p! It's a blast to play! How do you unlock the SCUD Race and Daytona USA 2 track though?

I don't know dude, maybe you should ask Bill Gates.
