Freedom was rebuilt by using the spare parts from ZGMF-X12 Testament/OutFrame Astray and the ZGMF-X11 Regenerate. Terminal inherited sections of the Regenerate's parts factory from Genesis Alpha after Lowe went to Mars. It's likely it was also rebuilt there to become the Strike Freedom.

@@psycommu36 due to the legal disputes with Harmoney Gold and Big West which made it extremely hard for any Macross to go to the Western media. So gundam was able to become super popular in the West and attract more fans in it's golden era. I can only say one thing about the Strike Freedom Gundam it was awesome it's too bad it wasn't the first nuclear powered Mobile Suit Kira was given during the first Bloody Valentine war it would've given him the advantage om equal terms with La Crueset and the Providence Gundam especailly with the D.R.A.G.O.O.N. system.
Question. How does the Strike Freedom have a Hyper D engine when the Destiny and Legend startup screens mention the Hyper Deuterion engine and launch with the detaching cable? The Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice have the same startup screens as their predecessors with no mention of the Hyper D engine, only Nuclear.
The RG I'm currently building... it is a nice kit, to be sure, but it was at the bottom of the list, the RG Nu at the top... still... Also, Strike Freedom was first in Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2, Freedom first appearing in Reborn! You can automatically unlock both its and Infinite Justice's Licences by completing the "War!?" DLC Mission, which, like all of 2's DLC is still free, even in 2021 for both PS3 and 360, as I should know!
Honestly prefer the freedom over the strike freedom, design just looks better to me and the weapons aren’t just “super special awesome for the ‘ultimate coordinator’”.
same, the reason why I dislike the 1st gen though is based off how too similar they are. As for the 2nd gen, it's like they put all the bells and whistles on SF while leaving the scraps to the IJ. Also, gunpla kit. IDK why Destiny got a metal frame while we still wait for the IJ's silver frame.
Well, that would be a good point if, 1) Kira was in fact a Gary Stu, which he is not, and 2) if the Strike Freedom had single handedly beaten both the Destiny and Legend at the same time, which it did not. In fact, they had managed to overwhelm Kira, who would have gotten killed by Shinn had Athrun not shown up in time. And even then, Kira only managed to beat Rey because he managed to get an opening on Rey. If Kira was a Gary Stu, he wouldn't have needed Athrun at all. Despite his nickname of Jesus Yamato, Kira is not a perfect character with no flaws, he's very much seen having multiple of them in both SEED and SEED Destiny. Like his inability to get other people to listen to him and his lack of skills with guns. He also only beat Athrun because Athrun was not at his best and in a weaker suit, in their last duel in SEED, Athrun legitimately won and would have killed Kira if he hadn't run out of power. He also had a huge amount of trouble with the Destroy, which if he were a Gary Stu, he wouldn't have needed Shinn's help or let Stella rampage as long as she did. As one forum goer on the MAHQ forum pointed out, being the Ultimate Coordinator doesn't make him perfect, it just means his genetic enhancements came out exactly as intended. Mary Sues and Gary Stus are characterized as people who constantly beat everyone with absolutely no effort, often with universe breaking techniques they suddenly pull out their butt. However, Kira's fights all follow the rules in the Cosmic Era setting and the only times Kira is shown doing effortlessly is with random no name mooks in mook mobile suits. When up against pilots like the Druggies, Athrun, Stella in the Destroy, Shinn and Rey, he's shown to have a much harder time. And Kira was fighting all out with Shinn during the Freedom vs Impulse fight, Shinn just was the better fighter at that time. And as another person pointed out to me, all Kira would need to do to avoid a nuclear explosion with the Freedom is turn off the N-Jammer Canceller and let the the N-Jammers still dug into the crush of the Earth do their job at stop nuclear reactions. Yes, it's typical SciFi science, but it's not rule breaking in the context of the setting, plus Coordinators were established as being able to recover faster than Naturals. Being able to survive certain death doesn't make a character a Gary Stu. If that were the case, almost every main character from Amuro, Kamille, Domon, Heero and Setsuna would be a Gary Stu. Please stop using a phrase so casually to just describe characters you dislike.
@@NemesisSP I agree with everything you said with the exception of Shinn being the better pilot than Kira at the time of their fight between the freedom and impulse for the following reasons: 1) in their first encounter Kira crippled the impulse within seconds. 2) During their battle at that time Kira was defending the Archangel from the Minerva a whole other Zaft Regimen and Shinn by himself Shinn had "improved," and I use that term loosely, but that alone wasn't enough to beat Kira it took the numbers i mentioned plus a strategy from Rey Za Burrel for him to down Kira. 3) This is the biggest point Kira wasn't trying to kill Shinn He said it himself and so did Athrun. If Kira had fought with the intent to kill especially in a machine that Shinn himself stated was the strongest mobile suit ever built that fight, despite Shinn's "improvement," wouldn't have gone down that way in terms of the end result . Other than that I agree with Kira not being a Gary Stu he has his fair share of deficiencies some of which can prove fatal as you've stated.
@@NemesisSP Shin used Kira's unwillingness to kill him to his advantage. He didn't have to defend himself from lethal attacks, and knew where Kira was aiming because he knew Kira would aim for non critical areas. So without having to worry about getting blown to shreds, he could go all out, and just adjust his tactics based on where Kira was pointing his gun. Because he could also use Kira's pin point accuracy against him too by not having to move wildly when dodging. Shin wasn't necessarily the better fighter. In terms of skill and ability, Kira is still better then him. Shin was just better prepared with a strategy specifically based on Kira's known tactics. If Kira went for the kill, Shin would have died. As for the Freedoms destruction, disabling the N-jammer canceler is a good theory. But more realistically, I think the Freedom had an emergency ejection system in place because it had a reactor on board. Using the residual energy in the suits capacitors to keep phase shift up for a short bit to protect against a possible explosion, or to move away from the reactor. The upper half of the suit just rode the explosion and into the sea. Nuclear reactors aren't bombs, you wouldn't get any where near a nuclear warhead explosion from destroying a reactor ( In fact, it wouldn't even classify as a nuclear level explosion at all. Just because it has nuclear in the name doesn't mean it is capable of what "nuclear" is famous for. For a nuclear explosion, you would need a chain reaction. To get that chain reaction, you have to compact the material you plan to use. In a nuclear reactor, the material is no where near compact enough to allow for a chain reaction, so you wouldn't get much of an explosion, if any at all). But what you could get is a large dose of radiation. Ejecting the lower half with the reactor and getting the hell out of dodge is a good plan. In the series, they go a bit out of the way to show a large button in Kira's cock pit in the scene, so I think it's safe to say one of these two scenarios happened.

Jalen McCollum SF isnt the same as Freedom. Freedom was a little bit balanced while SF became extremely specialized. The reason being is that F and J are meant to be a 2 man team. The design consisted of defensive and mid range capabilities whereas their counterparts: SF and IJ no longer needs to compensate for that. With the inclusion of Alatsuki, they now can be fully spec-ed to their speciality without the need to compensate for defense and mid range as that is the Akatsuki's role. With that said, I do believe that SF's weakness when it comes to solo fighting is greater, especially on Earth, in which is where IJ compensates for the decrease of effectiveness as it is stronger in Earth. Akatsuki is their well balanced gundam that is primarily defensive. With its backpack being interchangeable for either Earth (Cagali's) and space (Mu's), it does not need for any compensation when it comes to fighting in space or Earth.
