    It is always i terresting to see. Not everybody have money to have glamorous weddings or traditional dresses. But the clothes and textile designs in Africa are the most creative and an inspiration for the fashion designers world wide.

    Africa is a huge continent with more than 50 countries.each country has more than ten tribes, and every tribe has its own traditional marriage.i am from ghana and every tribe has their own tradition.the one you are showing looks like Ashanti tribe,not all ghanains.

      The pic was representative of "Habesha Culture" which is common to both Eritrea and only northern Ethiopia. Wearing the Kappa and crown is not exclusive to Ethiopia only. The Tigrigna and Jabarti wear it in both countries.

    My humble European viewpoint on this: you make a continent sound like one country. I grew up with Ghanaians around me and there are variations even within that small country. And in the olden days, things were much less lavish and ostentatious.

      @@gabigebreal7620 It's Eritrean first, then the Ethiopian Habeshas adopted it. Remember Ethiopia is predominantly Cushitic and have very different customs and traditions from Habesha culture. Haile Selassie ruled both countries when he annexed Eritrea into the federation and started misappropriating the Eritrean/Tigray Habesha customs and traditions to the entire Empire while ethnically cleansing Eritreans. Let's be truthful here.

    Lol ,that's not true , I am Congolese and couples smiles on their wedding day, however in the past the bride was supposed to look more innocent on that day ,no funny dances ,otherwise they will say she has slept with many men therefore she has no shame.
