- Happy to get this record back and improve the WR here by a pretty significant amount too. I now once again have all the Gen 4 records, which is pretty cool since it's the one I enjoy speedrunning the most.
Would like to cut this down a bit more and get that sub that I'm so close to. This'll be reasonably tough to beat now though. Was very good spinner wise, had some great fights, had some bad fights. The thing I feel like I could improve upon most was my absolutely cooked gameplay in the back half.

I love how just a few years ago, Werster was avoiding running the Sinnoh games cause he hated how slow they were, and now they're the ones he enjoys speedrunning the most. That's some Grade A character development right there!

Also used Chimchar not Piplup, which is interesting. Would be cool to see competition not just between different runners, but completely different routes.

My first try on the game was basically just me and my empoleon... and i didnt avoid the trainers xD so my biggest challenge at the league was to have enough PPs xDD

@@nadie9622 this. when I got silver with a full clear savefile I was so proud beating elite 4. later I found out the person who owned the game previously cleared it already and it was only hard bc I used the wrong moves (fire against dragon etc.) and didnt know anything about healing items (items in general)

i had been watching the platinum glitchless streams every day. yesterday i had a headache, so i didn't, and i missed the wr. i aint sad, because if i was there the universe would have behaved differently and maybe he wouldnt have gotten it, but it's kinda tough lol. great run

When I played this game at ten years old it took me hours to get through Garantinas cave meanwhile it takes werster a few hours to beat the game.

In recent news a local 10 year old girl beats the elite four and becomes champion as well as defends the entire Sinnoh region from a legendary pokemon and beats an evil organisation 3 hours and 40 minutes after receiving her first pokemon!
That sequence where cyrus summons the legendary pokemon was one of my favorite pokemon moments as a kid. It was second only to summoning a lvl 1 sinnoh legendary in HGSS (which still is my favorite moment today)

I was letting this play while doing something else and that scream scream surprised me so much.
I never knew that there was a rare candy on route 210 at 1:12:40, and I have over 300 hours on my platinum file. Thanks werster!

Platinum is the pokemon game I know the best, and when I saw there weren't a lot of records I figured I'd do some research on the route and maybe try and grind something decent at least. And then I discovered rng manipulation. Aaaand I'm out. Real question though, is there a route you recommend for beginners? I was considering single tenta but even that seems too hard
