Oh I miss Venice so was great to see this. I was at that same point on a very windy and rainy day. You had great weather. I stumbled into one art store in the Accademia area when I was there. Will have to find these two next time … and I hope for a next time!
@@darklittlepeople it was a literal stumble for me ... I was completely lost trying to figure out how to get back to the Accademia bridge. It is close by a Fine Arts School (not the music school, that's on the San Marco side of the bridge). You can find the best things in Venice when you are lost.
I love rummaging around niche art and book stores. It is always difficult for me to resist the cute vintage packaging and buying everything I see. I have been interested in mixing my own paints as well and would love to see you try!

this is so cool! i went there in may, and i wasn't super prepared so i'd never stumbled upon an art shop. these past couple of weeks we've been wanting to go back, so i'm beginning the phase of intense daydreaming while saving money for tickets and airbnb - so cool to have the name of the big art shop, will definitely be getting maimeri gouache next time i go! awesome, thank you so much! 👍 which month was this shot in, the weather looks splendid!
