I could just read a comic book, but a superhero movie or show is way better. I like the soundtrack, animations, and voice over that media has. Novels and books are good if no other version of that story exists

I would like like 3 more seasons. This was an amazing show. Good character interactions/development, life & death situations, and a bit of slice of life in merceneary mod.
I really liked the fighting choreography. They were rookies and fought as such, but it didn't look dumb, but brutal and desperate. Later, you can see them improve and still they struggle at times. IRL even the best can fail, but it's how they deal with their mistakes that makes them veterans.

I really loved this anime for the accuracy of what actually happen vs monsters, the meaning of kill, etc, and the hard work the chars have to do for survive. Food, sleep, home, armor and weapon maintenance,... etc. Hope, we'll can see a second season.
I didn't see bathroom situations in there.
You know..All of us peoples be like "Wish I could get transported to another world" Lets be honest here.....This anime is more likely what would actually happen....
Then so be it...! Let me in and watch me enjoy this kind of life, it looks so much more intense and full of meaning than mine.
i'd miss the technology probably, but you know, magic, levels, glory, adventure, adrenaline and fear of death..
Don't forget the Friends and family dying in your arms as natural course of actions followed by the fact you probably will not receive some "Blessing" aka plot armor like the MC of an anime/manga/book.

it's about the way you want to live, some people like to live a long and peaceful life, others want action in it, of course if i went to this kind of world i'd put my money on survival instead of glory & fame, but still, this life looks more interesting than the one i'm going for ( you know, working all my life for a next to nothing , just gaining enough money to have fun with my friends.. meh. )
of course the dangers are like 70% of the deal, but think about the 30% left. the bonds you would make, what your story could be in this kind of world.
Futhermore, in the anime you watch the story from Haruhiro's group point of view ( and they struggle like HELL.)
in the Light Novel, you get to see that Renjis group goes much smoother, you could think that the first group is below average in term of survivability and the 2nd one much above average.
Oh that's easy to get around. Just narrate everything that happens, then your guaranteed to at least stick around as a ghost. Can't get rid of the narrator after all.
one of the only animes to ever make me cry like a child for 30min and then leave me in a state of depression for weeks after, we need more seasons
Still such a good anime, wish there was more lol.
Years later, and still thankful to AMVs like this that lead me to good shows :)
This anime felt like ... I was in the anime....hope for season 2
This was a better sword art online. Way less hype behind it, but the art style and story was there.The characters were way more likable too.

Love them both. Sao in terms of concept and this in terms of story.
Sao’s plot is basically: BBEG, attempted rape, BBEG, attempted rape, BEG, then we get a better second protagonist until we reach attempted rape again
it's already 4 years and still waiting for season 2
This show got me through my back injury. Hurt in Oct, stopped working in Dec, surgery in May, return to work in Aug...from Dec-May I watched the whole season in a day at least twice a week.

This reminds me of my monster hunter days
Oh boy they really went nuts on those fights scenes in anime. I just finished second tome of novel (base material) and first fight vs goblin, last fight against those that killed makoto and even fight vs death spots are MUCH better in anime. They were kinda okay in novel but much shorter and less "flashy".

i really want a season 2 except let it have large raid battles that result in hell of alot of deaths.
That actually does happen in volume 3 of the light novel of the series. They end up going to a Orc fortress with an army of other groups and lets say the Orcs are strong enemies leading many of them to end up died.

Sadly it did slip through the cracks and will never get a second season due to not being popular. While shows like SAO that have no core idea or purpose succeed.

I've started to watch this anime but there is nothing spécial for the moment. is it worth to watch it ?
It is worth watching it in my opinion. While it may not be the most action packed anime it is emotional and all the characters feel like real people with their own quirks and personalities, I enjoyed every moment and it does contain a few good fights

In grimgal they can only live on killing monsters and scavenging corpses, they cant find ordinary workplaces none other than being soldiers.
119jensen, this one also has an actual class system to diversify the parties so it feels like you're watching an RPG but danmachi sort of threw a bit of everything together and made a hell of a show out of it
Yeah, except DanMachi had a hell of a lighter tone. It's like comparing a feather to a skyscraper sized block of lead.

the show's called Grimgar, as I recall the artwork was the only thing it had going for it, you might like it if your all about "slice of life". Good AMV though.
By the way if this looks interesting to you, you might enjoy Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou k. It's like this... but better.
colin8696908 Danmachi? I'd have to disagree on that account. While the animation is absolutely outstanding in Danmachi, the characters are no where near as good as Grimgar, Not to mention it falls under the category of the likes of Sword Art for fan service and a kirito- like main character , not as bad but still.
