Wow the 1000 Buddha temple! I wish so much to go see it in person.
Thank you for this video!
FYI, China has 144hr Visa-free entry to many countries.
I just went there a few days ago, and this is a place called Lantian Shui lu an.
Please be prepared, most of them are not attractions, but cultural relics protection units, and there is no matched tourism facilities. You may drive more than 2 hours for just one of them.
Me too.
I am now in Shanxi province. Before you go to these places, make sure you learn some history about them, or have a guide with you, that would make your trip much more satisfying. Totally different.
Damn that is amazing 😍
The temple with Yellowbrow was the best and most intricate ❤
From Shanxi Xiaoxitian
Thanks for this. Interesting stuff.
It is amazing how the team travels around the country to map the game world perspectives!
When a work of art is created by artists who love their work.
This is so cool and amazing! THANK YOU FOR YOUR HARD WORK to educate the masses with this. BEAUTIFUL!
I grew up watching hong kong shows and movies. Playing the game really hits my soul and makes me smile.
I'm really impressed. I was born and raised in China until 24 and I'm hearing these characters for the first time in my 60+ years life.
The historical records of China are so rich that it would be impossible for anyone to know everything :)
Your pronunciation is perfect and authentic! Thanks for this great video!
I recently started listening to an English translation audiobook of Journey to the West on RUclips. Good stuff!
Journey to the West 1986 drama recommend! All the actors were national level theater actors at that time, and although the visuals were very nostalgic, their acting skills were superb!
wow
China has beautiful terrain. I hope to visit one day.
Thank you so much this is really cool. 🎉🎉
thats why everytime some CIA shill say CCP destroyed all Chinese history and culture I laugh my ass off.
CNyes, these actions were very regrettable. But sometimes I understand why people made such bad decisions. I follow study western classical history, and thus read a lot of what’s considered “canonical literature,” and consume a lot of historically significant western cultures (for example, I read Ancient Greek and Latin and have played most of the standard concert repertoire in classical music). And while the academic side is very good, online communities for such things are filled with low-IQ reactionaries who just want to have something in the past they consider “great” for their own ego. The my cling to narratives of greatness, golden ages, degeneration of greatness, etc. for their own ego rather than and any authentic intellectual curiosity. I think there are more of these people than people who authentically enjoy the culture (looking at how the average American thinks about the Roman Empire is a great example). They just like it as something that’s needed for their narrative of history, and feel the ego boost of knowing about something they consider great but loss. If this was the only way people enjoyed history, I think it would be an objective positive to get rid of it. Unfortunately, history and cultural artifacts do have their uses, and I do not think these things should have been destroyed, because the honest uses of it are worth it even if honest appreciation of history is a small minority.
The CCP arrested a man for smashing a vase he bought which was a historical artifact
Ain’t Mao China anymore even if they still call Mao their pride
Wow a game that did research, and not just google something out of internet and steal flag and building, doing great and loved? What a surprise, right?
Steal? Chinese steal chineses things?
@benym9146it’s a jab at Ubisoft and Assassin’s Creed Shadows lul
Ubisoft was stealing lots of things left and right and got in trouble with Japan for it
It's a Chinese game with a huge budget
@benym9146you don’t understand 😂
2:29 God of Super Saiyan!
The US is going to say this game is a threat to their national security. 😆
The problem with this is there's only a vocal minority of weirdos who act like this. The majority of people in the US are normal. They don't speak for everyone it's a shame the rest of the world views us like that.
For the western gaming industry it certainly is 🤣
Thanks for putting all these together
Try to avoid the Chinese festivals, if not, "people mountain people sea"
I love the 小西天site the most as it contain lots of intricate details and looks like a very stunning temple!
Interesting video !
Fun fact: The Wudang Mountains was used in the Karate Kid movie. Interesting stuff.
Great sharing and thanks ! ❤❤❤
I love this game lol got the Wukong stance and the platinum on PS5… seriously an amazing work of art
xiao xi tian looks even more amazing in real life when it looks cool in the game i want to visit xiao xi tian one day
This game is full of hard work
Most of the sites are in Shanxi Province, and the first chapter of the temple is in Zhejiang Province
Thank you. Thank you🤩🤩🤩
Meanwhile Ubisoft making Assassin's Creed in Japan: "just slap some cherry trees and we're good"
haha
Hahaha.. that makes me laughed until my 2 jujubees knock one another 😂😂😂
Great job to your research for those real life sceneries and compilation into this impressive video; and to the game creators for such detailed artwork they have done for Black Myth Wu Kong!👏👏👏 love it!
Awesome video. You did an amazing job. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to sharing your knowledge of Chinese culture. I subscribed to your channel. 😁😁
Brilliant stuff! Gotta give credit to the good folks of GAME SCIENCE for doing so much research for making the game!
I thought some of the ornate buddhist decorations and altars are way too detailed to be modeled by hand. So they have to use Nanites and Photogrammetry from real objects. If this game was using UE5 it would've never captured these visuals.
I don't really understand the technical info, but I assume you're praising the dev team! :)
A class act. My game of the year.
I look forward to see what comes
next from China.
Phantom blade zero is coming
Even the place where you fight Er Lang is a real life location. It's called 五龙庙文昌阁 and it is located in Sichuan
Yungang is like 10mins drive from my home. There is a really good cold jelly restaurant (凉粉)nearby.
thank you for this video...
I want to see the giant turtle back (where we fight kang jin long) in real life.
Thank you so much. What an interesting province !
They should have shown the spot when the monkey king went to the North Pole. Or the one in summer camp.
thank you info....!!
Thanks for your efforts! 🎉
you are Amazing!
Can you share any video of a true story of Sun Wukong?
Thanks for the good pronouncation.
Your pronunciation is beautiful
wow 😳😳😳
Great job you done great job
Tq great video
Thx for telling and showing the real location of the real places in Black Myth Wukong. Now I can plan my trip to visit these places.
2:59 What?! are we referring to the same game?
3:01 left one is not of game , it can be of movie
Well done
Very interesting good video
I went 5 months in Wudang mountain, so I'm familiar with that temple over there. Then they constructed fake mountain peak cardboards around the temple to make it look like Disney Land... typical in China. But the energy of that mountain is amazing.
Some people complained that the roof was not wood. The way that building was put together is literally how Lego was created. At least kids can learn some Chinese history from this game.
It is not like Legos lol.
Black myth, although rated at a PG 16, majority of the players/fans are grown adults or middle aged.
@yorkiesweetpea23 Dougong are structural. Of course it is not like Lego. Lego are interlocking toy pieces. Dougong are interlocking pieces that allow beams, floors, roofs to lock in place without any nail. And it is even better structurally for lateral forces such as earthquake and winds.
Many 80 yrs old don't know the Chinese history especially those live in the west. It is part of the heritage whether you are from China or not. When I said kids, I mean 18 years old or older.
@TAL142 sorry, I had thought you were being serious about it like Legos.
Awesome....
Impressive !!!!!
So cool🎉
Watching the game footage in this video hurts my eyes a lot.
Next travel plan 😏
As Chinese I don’t even know some of these places exist. Thank you. 😊
Interesting
You should add sound effect to your videos.
thank u for all of these helpful information
Hey it’s that guy from generation tech
For those wondering about the picture at 3:01, I checked that site and found that same article, and literally none of those locations are in the game and those screenshots definitely appear to be different then the final game. Maybe they were Beta screenshots or Pre alpha gameplay that got leaked or something? It was said that originally the game was going to have 13 chapters instead of the 6 we got so maybe cut content, but again in short those screenshots are either not from the game or they are from cut content. Any context publisher of the video?
Thanks for the explanation, yeah I watched through about 15 hours or so of gameplay on double speed and didn't see many of the locations that articles talk about
wow, how do you get the places?
Hi
Wow
👍
Rainbolt the geoguesser can find the locations I bet 😂
The game is now a Chinese Tresure
Bros mandarin is so clean I could listen to him for hours and I'm not complaining👁👄👁
wow is so pretty. Thank you
I can tell that you didnt even play the game cuz the pic in 3:03 isnt even BMW. But thanks for all the info and research nonetheless!
yes, since he says the destined one is wukong he didn't. but he did a nice work even so.
Dude is a falungong mouth piece ,I knew I saw him somewhere else back in the days!
🆒❤️👍🙏
Esto es una joya 💍
I thought BMW is a game, actually it's a documentary.

The power of Unreal Engine 5
Shanxi guy here!
Flower fruit mountian Wukong's home is a real place BTW 😂
some screenshots in the game is not real in the game like the one in 3:00
Public Request.
Ancient kung fu film. 80s or 90s.
A group of clans in a dungeon of some sort. All different names ofcourse, their leaders that is. Argue over politics as always and a display of abilities special powers etc.
I can't remember it for the life of me. Only this much. Help please. It was a really good film
hi
lmao
amazing bilingual 👍
I haven't play it yet, would say it is a souls like?
Kind of, but there's no penalty for dying.
I would say between Dark souls and God of war. Enemies are challenging but your character is really powerful too.
I’m doing new game+ now and tried lots of different build. My current build ( I called it One punch man) can almost one shot some of the lesser bosses.
There is one stone sculpture in chapter one that from a temple name Banteay srei . but that temple is not located in China it is located in Siemreab Cambodia . and It is just a small part of the temple .
What a mind-blowing game 😊
Very hard though and it should have difficulty levels to select
If only i werent so poor 😂
