Hearing Conan talk endearingly about his old self just starting out in the business is so surprisingly sweet
Yeah and talking like a man who has been to therapy.
@@RoryMonaghan that’s a good thing right?
@@h3artands0uLL yeah. Shows self awareness.
I am positive that Conan is happy to hear that a middle age man grew up with him as a little child.
This made me spit my drink out. Nice job sir
Well Kumail is just a little younger than me, we were teenagers in 1993 when Conan debuted, not children. Still growing up with Conan I suppose, but it's not the same way we grew up with Carson, Letterman, Leno, Arsenio.
Kumail & Conan together are a treasure trove of delightful moments.
I feel like this is one of the few people conan can actually be real and sincere with.
What? Conan is real and sincere with all why are people liking this comment?
@@nima5398 Because people think it's a "deep" and "profound" statement.
@@nima5398 have you seen the jack mcbrayer episode
@@johngabrielmercado7047 I have not no but are you gonna say it was awkward?
Yes Nima is correct. One of the most common compliments I hear people say about Conan O'Brien as how genuine he is. The Conan you see here on this podcast is the Conan you will get if you're having dinner with him. Mila Kunis was once asked if he was nice because she is the neighbor, and she tried to joke that he was terrible, but then laughed and said that actually he's one of the best people that she's ever known and that the Conan you see at the mailbox is the same Conan that stands by his wife when she's giving birth from the same Conan that you see on the shows and podcasts. His close friends and relatives must have to be tolerant of bits LOL
I’m 40 and also grew up watching Conan. He was always my favorite host
I watched Conan the barbarian
Hi 40, cool name
Conan finds a friend. ❤
Best friend
Conan’s hearty laughs are one of my favorite things in the world.
These two make such an excellent duo, I would pay to see a buddy cop or a superhero/sidekick movie made for Conan and Kumail!
No thanks. Stick to podcasts we don’t need another buddy cop movie.
I really miss Kumail's standup. He was great! He did a standup show called The Meltdown with Jonah & Kumail for 3 years which was just hilarious. So much for that I guess.
I've watched Conan for years, and I have especially fond memories of the late 90s, coming home from a crappy job, living in a big city for a couple of years , struggling and not having any money. I might have not been able to spend anything and struggling to pay my bills, but i had Late Night with Conan O'Brien to keep my mind off of it. Love every reincarnation of his night talk shows since, and the podcast is great because we can hear Conan talk and speak more freely than he could on tv.
This is me now. I'm in the boonies in South East Asia but I'm glad that while working my 12+ hours work-from-home desk job, I can have Conan playing in the background. It's a great escape.
@officialDevinsuperstram761 grow a conscience and stop scamming people, you imposter.
I love Silicon Valley too. I seem to rewatch the whole series once a year or so. It's like The Office. It just never gets old.
Oh! My! That was one helluva conversation about career, life and your self, all boxed into a compact few minutes. You may do nothing or everything in your life, one thing you must do - forgive yourself. Keep moving. #masterclass
"Don't worry about you"
The best compliment ever
I remember seeing Conan on the telly on channel 3 during the war. He's always been around.
I love that there is unedited content shown here is on YT. Makes it worth watching it even after listening to it on the podcast
This show rocks. I watch it on RUclips but I also listen to older episodes on pandora while I mow my lawn. The neighbors think I've lost my mind because I appear to find mowing hilarious.
Lol
Pimp Bot was when I knew I was a Conan fan forever
Conan seems like he is the best friend ever. And he loves even likes his wife and kids. Kind of a big deal. 💞💞💞💞
Im Team Coco since Day 01
2:37 completely agree. His body of work is alive and kicking and I find it so inspiring!
conan should do more remotes with stars from their home countries. loved the south korea and dare i say Italy because we all konw jordan is not from italy LOL keep it up guys love it thanks!
I totally get Kumail. After my apprenticeship I worked two years and had to quit because I was always looking for the next game after I accomplished one. 25 years later - and nothing changed about that.
So, you're saying It is NOT Done then?
great episode
A pleasant and frank conversation.
To say he'd never seen comedy like Conan's show in the early 90s must mean he'd never seen Kids in the Hall and other alternative comedy that was a trend at the time, but Conan certainly did it well. There was a punk rock experimental quality to the show that sort of waned over time, parallel to alternative music. For about five years there Gen X rose to prominence lol
Dude, one thing that bums me about Kumail is that he wasn’t on Portlandia more often. That’s actually my favorite thing I’ve seen him do.
omg yeah that's when i first saw him, on the cell phone store sketch, he was immediately arresting, just pure uncut funny from the very first second
Silicon Valley was so funny!! It was on a Sunday and I was binge watching the 1st season and I looked at phone thinking it was 12:30 - 1am. It was 4:30am!
This guy was hilarious in Obi Wan as the fake Jedi lol
Silicon Valley, he was wonderful in that, great character
i didn't know conan's favorite show was silicon valley - LOVED that show (first season was a bit slow) but it picked up fast!
Also grew up sneaking down to the tv at 12:30 to watch Conan
for sure, robot
Y'all remember when Kumail Nonshowyupy didn't make it to his show last minute?
Conan has gotten more funny with age
🖤
nice
Lol put your life into perspective Kumail. You've got it pretty good. Practice gratitude 💕👍
It's nice to know that Conan is as worried about past Conan's skin as I am.
Is there a way to watch Conan’s full podcast in video form?
I’m not one uping Kumail but on August 1996 my parents watched Conan casually as I was being birthed out. I still remember the comedy skit that day I think was Robin Williams.
Isn’t this the guy who didn’t show for that episode of Conan and he had nothing planned for it
Yes, and Sonja the star was born.
Worse stuff about bad guys is they think they're actually the good guysssss
Ooof, maybe somebody should fill Conan in how "restless" Clapton has been for quite some time now. Or maybe not. It's never fun to read about idols going haywire, and once again a testament to Conan, i can't think of another celebrity that i have followed for so long and that never once failed me both as a person and as an entertainer
"I'm a copy of a copy of a copy" Me: has flashbacks to "Multiplicity" ... uhoh...
conan is secretly 94 years old and he eats cabbage patch kids for youth
ngl when i heard this episodes i thought kumail is starring a new chip and dale movie.
It's so weird seeing him muscular. Lol even his jaw looks huge now.
Steroids, nothing wrong with taking them. Not cool to lie about it tho
Which tv show was Conan referring to that Kumail Nanjiani was in that he enjoyed.
I think it was Silicon valley show & he enjoyed big sick movie.
How incredibly ironic that the advice to "Keep moving" being attributed to Eric Clapton. Considering how he's been behaving over the past decade-- zero forward momentum.
I love you Conan.
The furrowed brow is apparently a sign of compassion, intelligence, and possibly.... a woody under the table.
Can stop thinking of the Orcs from MiddleEarth every time I hear him 😂😂
Kamail is the best orc in that game. xD
The thousand monkey is a theory of consciousness. (it's not monkeys but homunculus, but I think Conan might have read it somewhere and was paraphrasing).
6:52 copy of a copy of a copy . Conan takes a subtle jab at the new late night hosts
anyone else pick up conans subtext?
I sat through that marvel movie he was in and his character was the only tolerable one, maybe his valet too
@officialteamcoco696 Legit?
@@kdpflush it's a scam
@@jcaceres516 Ya I figured, I ignored their reply to my reply. Thanks!
Worry about Conan? LoL no way!! - The community and fans adore Conan still on the air cause always keeping it new and creative with the times after all these years.
Kumali is right though Conan kept remaking himself with the times and his career. Conan still with us. Look how many personalities over the years have come and gone but we still have Conan.
As a kid I would stay up after Leno just for Conan's show back when he had Max Weinberg and his band and just the outrageous hilarious stuff the show got to do at that time and got away with it.
Now no disrespect to Kimmel, Leno, Letterman, Fallon etc - but I never like their shows ever and they just can never do what Conan got away with. Exception of Craig Ferguson though - loved his late show.
Conan all these years has kept the comedy coming because he is genuinely a funny person and not flexing it up on screen like all these other late night talk show hosts end up doing. And it's amazing to still have this so many years later.
4 Cocans ago ----- LMAO
Conan should stop taking credit for the Monorail episode, that was four Conans ago, we don't talk about him.
PRISMO !!!!!!
but ı care and also worry about you guys because you are all my neighbours.
He didn't do it on his own
Get a room already.

What is this Hillsdale College "Citizenship" Course advertisement crap doing on this channel? Is Conan aware of the garbage ads that are on here?
Conan please give us your opinion on uptalk. It's the new term coined for an old annoying phenomenon.
I'm actually worri5about his steroid use😳
Arnold and stallone are in their mid 70's they seems to be doing okay, I don't thik roids are as bad as they potrayed in the media.
@@Daveyvj36 Arnold has had several open heart surgeries with that enlarged heart. So many people die a year.. I'm not against it, but you said a weird thing ha
3:17 Thank god, Conan: Clapton is a vaccine/COVID denier lol. Don't be like Eric Clapton.
his baby also walked out of a building and died so I mean
We get it. You’re quadruple-quentiple vaxxed and can’t wait to bark at everyone who isn’t. Outstanding work citizen comrade. Keep them coming 💉👌
kumail is creepy af
how so? just curious (I havent watched much of his interviews)
@@manz007 no reason really, i just find him to be a creepy person
Geez he needs to chill w the plastic surgery.
20% more, and then stop.
Its just steroids
Who
Dinesh looking like he could clap gilfoyle around. I'd pay extra to see that episode.
Hey Kumail, you were great in Portlandia but Eternals just sucked. Hope for bigger and better things in your future.
Maybe, but he was a standout
Too bad he's real not that funny and a terrible actor....
The only good Eternals did for him was show he can get in shape.
