I would say the difference is that once the process of life begins at conception it is the ending of potential sentience that people are taking issue with. I think that is the most consistent position to take. Before that you aren't ending anything, because the process hasn't begun yet.
DLF - I think both you and the hosts on The Line both did a horrible job. You started all wrong and that is part of the reason they were so annoyed with you. But generally I do agree that Jimmy Snow, Matt and Forrest are bad at interacting with certain people. They will lose their minds when it comes to anyone who has a significant moral or political difference with them, and you just mentioning Doug will bother them. I actually think Matt in particular becomes emotionally irrational when it comes to certain people. I mean he once said "if you are a fan of Pinecreek I don't even want you watching The Line." Did he say that just in the heat of the moment? Probably, but he did say it.
To be fair though, they do deal with trolls a lot and people who bring up certain things just to get under their skin. The person calling isn't really interested in an honest conversation, they just want to irritate the hosts.
I actually view trans people in a similar light as Doug. Trans women are not real women, they are "women" only in an abstract sense.

Not relevant to anything but I saw several people on another pine video saying that the shroud of turin was now proven to be real and pine was a smug asshole for denying it for so long, so then i feel compelled to look it up and apparently they’re referring to a study that claims if the shroud was kept under like very specific climate controls every day for 2,000 years then it hypothetically could be that old, not addressing the fact that 1) it definitely wasn’t and 2) it definitely caught on fire at one point
