Yu-peng Chen didn't actually make this specific song, but is credited as the composer because he composed the melody. Xin Zhao actually arranged the song and made it sound the way it does, and credits YPC because he used his melody. Just to clarify, Yu-peng Chen didn't write Novatio Novena.

Before Fontaine released, there was some schmegegge speculating that the soundtrack for Fontaine would be underwhelming as it went with known European symphonic inspirations. People suspected it was just going to be that along with some jazz and generic French folk music. So I am so glad that there's a piece, for Furina no less, that goes against the grain while still embracing Fontaine's inspirations with very French style electroswing.

Wandering theme got me levitating Faruzan theme is also good af. Althathim is a great bop too. Baizhu is beautiful as well Chinese music at its finest. Neuvillette got me singing his chorus truly a tragic yet redemptive theme. Furina them brings me so much joy despite the archon suffering.

(ARCHON QUEST SPOILERS) Shows how Furina is trying to be herself now and be happy as a human and forget her pain 🫶
